Minifig - a standard minifigure of the worker in overalls.

I don't understand why again use this minifig if there is a remarkable minifig of the mechanic from the 6th series of collection minifigs? ! In my opinion but it here approaches best of all!

Assembly is finished!

After assembly there were some extra-details:

We will consider model:

Though the wrecker also has doors but to put a minifig, all the same it is necessary to remove a roof.

We will consider tow truck in all its aspects:

Functionality of an arrow of the wrecker:

0_bbb38_470eab34_XL.jpg

0_bbb39_fc5fece1_XL.jpg

Game function of the wrecker on the example of evacuation of 60018 Cement Mixer and 60043 Prisoner Transporter.

- Cement Mixer - thanks to quite big gleam at cement mixer, the wrecker can lift it quite highly. When transporting the wrecker can maneuver very well as the arrow of the wrecker is quite mobile!

0_bbb3c_2bf16c35_XL.jpg

0_bbb3d_50a10300_XL.jpg

- Prisoner Transporter - as a van has very low road gleam, at van transportation the wrecker can't strongly lift an arrow, differently the rear bumper of a van will rest against a surface, having raised back wheels!

0_bbb3f_f41154af_XL.jpg

Well and at the end, we will replace a minifig of the worker with a collection minifig of the mechanic:

0_bbb42_6f3b0953_XL.jpg

Result: In my opinion this set - the best in price category to US$20 from sets of the first half of the year 2014! It is obligatory to acquisition!

Good review of an interesting set. This is going to be added to the list of 'things I need to buy'.

At first I wasn't really sure about the shape of the nose on this truck, but helped by the pictures of this topic I built it myself this afternoon and am convinced that it looks the part after all. Would keep the bumper a bit higher, though.

I am still not sure if I will buy this set. I think it's pretty spot on in it's overall shape, just like the truck-recovery vehicles you see over here too, but it's a bit too bulky compared to the rest of my vehicles.

Nice review 'mifody', I prefer this truck to the 2009 one in the garage set 7642......I touch more realistic, though the minifig is a let down - could of done with another Fonzie !

Leave some reviewing for the rest of us, dude......only joking.

Brick On Review On 'mifody' !

This was my first 2014 must have set for me. When I got it right before xmas, there was only one box left.

PN = Our own Pierre Normandin, from Quebec province, who got famous for his town MOCs and went on to work for Lego in Denmark :)

If they used that mini fig it wouldn't be collectible.

I upgraded the wrecker - the silver front grilles, the chromeplated exhaust pipes a little, I smoothed some sites of a design, lateral mirrors are changed.

This week these sets finally arrived in the shops over here in the Netherlands (yeah, they took a while). As I thought I deserved a little present and had a coupon that had to be used before the end of the week, I went to the shops, mostly to buy 60059 Logging Truck but also maybe one other set. Remember this?

I am still not sure if I will buy this set. I think it's pretty spot on in it's overall shape, just like the truck-recovery vehicles you see over here too, but it's a bit too bulky compared to the rest of my vehicles.

Well, when I picked up the box it began to grow on me quickly. Before I knew it, I was at the counter and boght this set too.

Built it this afternoon and to my surprise I found it to be a more fun build than 60059. The colours are great, the build solutions are nice and it's massive, you certainly get value for money (which, by the way, marked the return to the € 19,99 pricepoint at mayor retailer Intertoys for this series, last year the prices where between 21 and 23 euro!).

And yes, within the hour it was modified to smoothe the studs at the back, which Lego should have done in the first place.

This is a beautiful set design, but what makes me appreciate it now more than ever is that last week, while I was on the road to see the LEGO Movie with some friends, I saw a tow truck on the road that looked just like it! Color scheme and everything!

I actually didn't care for this set much. it wasn't a very interesting build to me, and as soon as I finished it I started to find its whole shape unattractive. I understand it's a realistic design, but it doesn't feel right next to any other Lego vehicle that I own.
