It (the gun) also seems slightly too thin for it's length. I designed the gun for maximum flexibility, hence the reason it sticks out so much. As for thickness... I'm not quite sure what to do about that. Any suggestions? Neat design! I feel like the way you armored the legs, it will severely hamper the posability of the knees. I could be wrong, of course. But would you prefer that the gun be wider, or just shorter? That would influence what pieces I use in its construction. Making it partially brick-built would allow you to remove the gap caused by the "bionicle hand" piece, by replacing that with the brick version of it and then filling up the remaining area with a 2x2 and two 1x2's.
