Here is my latest version of the Brian Davis "Gates" module. His module actually appeared for a few seconds in Brickumentary Doco... It is still rough but this module can count up to 5000 balls, and i plan to add another gates to increase that to 10000.

I have an old GBC sitting around in my room taking up space do you think I should finish it?

It has 2 things it can do. The first one is just a little (slide) that brings it to the end, the second is a loop that picks it up and loops around bringing it to the "end" that is not finished

the start bucket

A conveyor belt it to the loop

Here you can see the part of the loop that picks up the ball

The unfinished end

Thee axles are where the drive is transmitted throughout the model

Yes I think you should finish it. I would love to see a video of it running when finished.

OK thanks do you know of any lifting mechanism and doesn't take more than 1-2 studs under it? maybe akiyuky's design?

But doesn't use any rare parts?

Amazing! It is hard to believe that this is all from one person. I see that his Invisible Lift was sitting at the end of the table but not connected, and I didn't see his Bucket Factory included.

When I built the bucket factory, the sliding parts developed slightly more friction after running for no more than an hour, and I was unable to run it reliably again.

the Ball Factory?

a slight squirt of silicon spray can help out a LOT with rubbing/spinning parts, and not cause any damage to lego parts.

Perhaps a rake <http://greatballcontraption.com/wiki/Rake>, or Archimedes' screw <http://greatballcontraption.com/wiki/Archimedes_screw>, or clock lift <http://greatballcontraption.com/wiki/Clock_lift>. I don't have good pictures handy, but Bill Bourn built a pump with the piston laid horizontally as part of his balldozer module. You might find it in a Brickfair, VA youtube video.

Thanks for the advice! I will try the rake. I dont have enough pieces for the clock lift and the screw

I don't mean to be rube, but you will have to do with my youtube video's... I hardly take any pictures. Just one or two for the building instructions...

Do you mean this one:

That is not a pneumatic one...

Hi Maico,

Congratulations for your BIs! Maybe you could link to one of your videos at proper start time to show this module in action?

Thanks Philo!

When finishing Bi's I will try to make a short movie of that module on an event. And then let these video's point to each other.

Yep that's the one I'm talking about, yes I know it is not a pneumatic module but it looks cool. I'm already half way done with the instructions.

we still have to wait before the folder will be made public...

Ok when it is public there a two things to know about, first the backside of the stairs is missing as I could not get the pistons to fit at the right angle( could you fix that?) second it is in LDD
