seba123 Posted October 20, 2013 Hi mapimi, thx for sharing, you captured the London tube feel quite well. Any chance you could implement doors that open? Cheers, seba
ronenson Posted October 20, 2013 Nice train. It's different from what we usually see here, I like that. What I don't understand is why you've snotted the rubber connection to another car. I think it probably looks better with regular studs up with plates on top.
AJW Posted October 21, 2013 Excellent design. Is the car 6 or 7 studs wide?
mapimi Posted October 22, 2013 Thanks everyone for commenting. I'll try to answer all of you. I'll try and find a way to open the doors, the difficulty comes from the fact the train is neither 6 or 7 studs wide, it's a bit larger than 6 studs wide. What holds it together is the roof, with a snot technique used at the bottom to hold the wheels and the thing together. That is why the connection to the other car has to be snotted. Now I haven't build it in real (with for example black parts replacing the transparent ones as I don't believe they exist in real), so modifications would probably be necessary for it to be a viable model, but I see it more as a static model to put on a desk. zephyr1934 Posted October 22, 2013 Looking good, and probably would look just fine with black windows.
