Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have recently been going through and sorting out all of my old Star Wars lego, when I came across a character who looked similar to Lando Calrissian. However, I can not find this exact character anywhere on the internet.

Does anyone know anyone about this character or where he is from?

Thanks,

-snip-

Looks like Shaq Cosplaying as Lando

Hey guys! Wondering if I could get some advice as to what I should pick up with a gift card...

Poe's X-Wing or Battle of Takodana?

The X-Wing appears to be sold out everywhere, so I have no idea when that will even get back in stock at TRU, but I feel like people may jump on the Takodana set with it having the cheaper option to get Kylo.

Thoughts?

I have both and only bought the Takodana bc it was $50. It's way overpriced IMO

The Takodana set is a pure joke for me, get it if you are a mini-fig enthusiast or collector but no way in hell I'll buy that for 75$ CAN.

I don't own the X-Wing (I plan on getting it), but I can say that Takodana is no good. The set is just a brick wall, a tree with two limbs, and a door that opens into nothing. Of course the minifigs are good but they're not worth the price of the set. I wasn't planning on buying it but Target tricked me with their $10 off.

If you can afford it then I would highly recommend Kylo's Shuttle. That way you get Kylo + an awesome set.

I have a question for you guys. Is there any chance that the Sandcrawler or the Ewok Village will go on sale at some point? I just got into collecting Lego Star Wars and I've had my eye on those two ever since I started browsing all the sets (especially the Sandcrawler). I don't mind waiting until they are a bit cheaper. I just don't want to wait too long and have them go up in price.

UCS sets ( and any popular lego sets ) will rarely go in any special sales. Ewok village has been out for quite a while now and has been quite popular ,and I don't doubt the Sandcrawler will dissapear so soon,

The best thing you could do is buy a used set cheaper than the current retail one or wait for a double VIP event on the online store: you could save up maybe 30$.

Ok guys its agenst the rules to complain about prices so there is a warning b4 the staff does. but also 1. its a large set making it about 50 bucks worth. 2. its star wars so like any other set it gets a about 10-15 more bucks then its wroth. 3. its star wars TFA. 3.5. the movie just came out and the hype for it is real so its about another 10-15 bucks.

I actually just finished building Kylo's Shuttle last night! Awesome build, but I need to Bricklink the pieces to change the angle on the wings.

Between Force Friday and Christmas, I got all of the Force Awakens sets except for the Snowspeeder, and Poe's X-Wing. (Still have to build the Falcon)

TRU doesn't even list the X-Wing anymore (Canada), and I'm a little vehicle fatigued, so I may just pick up Battle of Takondana for something different. (The $ doesn't bother me too much, because I've got the gift card)

Does anybody know any stores or shops where oldish Lego, I mean from 2012/13, sets are sold? This is because Im very much fond of the idea of adding the At te from the 2013 line being added to my collection at a reasonable price.

Much appreciated.

I've seen duel on geonosis and corporate alliance tank from 2013 on sale at Hallmark

It may depend on where you live. Where I am (Austraila) local Lego resellers have had both of those two sets as their exclusive sets in annual sales at a small discount of 5-10% off rrp for the past two years. However, if you really want them I wouldn't wait as either could retire at any stage and the price will skyrocket once they do. Lego S@H will not discount them prior to retirement. Ewok village is older and with two new rumored UCS playsets expected this year I would get that one first.

Do you guys reckon the Ewok village will still be around on June 1st?

From what I see locally (CA) and online via I would guess not. It's already getting pretty dry

I think you might be able to find the Ewok Village online, but probably not in stores.

That's assuming whatever UCS replacement to the Death Star doesn't drop before then.

Not sure if talking about asking question regarding the EU fits in here, (well a Lego SW EU question though). What parts would be suitable to make Jaina, Anakin, and Jacen in likes of when piloting the three Tie Advanced's? Always been thinking about asking this since founding the image of all three from the (old) EU some long time ago.

Has anyone in CA ever seen the Finn Stormtrooper polybag? I've seen people post it around here but never seen it in stores. Is this a 2016 model?

Probably. It's most likely going to be a "freebie" for a game preorder because of the code on the package.

So I had this question for a while, but why do most lightsaber hilts in Lego look the same ,(with just 3 exceptions: Dooku's , Ventress's and Inquisitor's)? SW theme existed for 15 years, and Lego didn't bother to at least make 2-3 different molds for Jedi. I mean standart hilts kinda look like Obi-Wan's . Maybe they could have made Anakins hilt since his lightsaber is important part of OT and TFA.

No. What do you mean by ground troops? In the VD it is explained that due to the lack of personnel, resistance fighters fulfil multiple roles. One of the alien technician guys is included in 75102

By ground troops, I mean the type of soldiers in the Resistance Trooper battle pack.

If you mean in the battlepack, then yes they are all human. If you mean generally over the whole line then they are all still human. And if you mean in the movie then there probably some aliens there somewhere.

When are we likely to see a new Lego Star Wars game?

I think it's a good chance we will get new game, which Finn polybag indicate, but I hope they will release it in 2017 to coincide with ep 8.

I'm trying to get hold of a few of the imperial officer caps from 75055 imperial start destroyer - part no 6080360. I've tried bricklink and fleabay but no joy. Anybody know anyone with a few for sale? It's easy to get the tan 'rebels' version and I guess the black one will be easy to get too due to the battle pack, but there don't seem to be any dark bluish grey ones anywhere!
