[MOC] W427 Hard Tail Bobber a.k.a Widowmaker

Recommended Posts

So I'm finally finished with my Hard Tail Bobber. I've been building it on and off for the last 10 months and now I feel that I dare present it to the public.

Its been a very expensive build since it uses a fare deal of rare black parts to get a clean look. And the tan hoses for the bandaged exhaust are not very easy to find now either.. :)

Well, enough talking here it is.

Tech specs:

A beefy air/liquid cooled V4 2700cc engine. [fake]

Horizontally mounted radiator

Bandaged exhaust for some increased perfomance but mainly for the looks.

Shaft drive almost integrated with the lines of the frame.

Double front disc brakes with brake lines.

Old fashioned oil tank that houses battery and electronics.

Bar end indicators.

Well I think that's about it!

Hope you like it!

OMG this is just stunning! Everywhere you look there are perfect details.

Great job!

The only thing im not sure on is the tan hoses, just seem a little out of place, if I were to be really picky.

If we ever do a bike contest, remind me to exclude you from the contest

This is one of the most awesome bikes I have ever seen!

And a very nice presentation!!

Thank you for your kind comment, Im glad you like it. Regarding the bandaged exhaust (tan hoses), I guess its a matter of taste.. ;)

Such nice feedback - regarding a contest, well I think I'll be disqualified anyway due to the time-schema - since this took me ten months..;)

That, sir, is a work of art.

I bow my head and thank you for your comment.

This might do well on Cuusoo? I'd wager it has more chance of reaching review stage than all those Technic MOCs consisting of 1K+ pieces anyway.

Excellent design, nice tank finish, breaks on front wheel… shaft+cardan type of transmision like in my BMW.

looks like extended ver. of 8051B - with next level of detailing...:)

Thanks for your nice comment, really glad you like the tank. I find that one of the hardest things to get right. :)

Yup, the shaft/cardan drive was the first thing I created on the model when I began building it last november. :)

I really like your bike, its absolutely fantastic!

Do you guys really think it would have a chance on Cuusoo?

I love all of the detailing! Awesome!

Thank you tim!

I find building motorcycles both demanding but also rewarding when you get it right. I takes time though to find solutions that both look good and is strong enough. I would really like some more color variation on the technic parts such as panels, and pin connectors to be able to build frames in nice colors. :)

And let us not forget the rims, and tires - we could really benefit of some new molds/colors there...

This has to be the best Technic motorcycle I have EVER seen.

Is this based off a real motorbike? (and if so anyone got a picture?)

Thank you for your kind words - really appriciated!

Well no, its not based on an actual motorbike - its my own design.

With that said it will for sure have similarities to other motorbikes since I've been gathering inspiration for this creation. :)
