[SoNE] Redundant cargo

Recommended Posts

Seeing a Rodian civilian on Bespin reminded me of some more good old times. I once had a Rodian teammate for some bigger missions. Once we sneaked onto a huge Zabrak cargo ship and controlled all eleven crew members. We landed on an inhabited moon, let all of them but the pilot go and safely escaped to Tatooine, where the cargo ended in good hands! The pilot decided to join our smuggling team.

Great Vig(big)nette - The display is nicely done and the crewmen have a real underworld feel to them. I'm digging the back wall and the crates as well. I'm totally behind on my piece knowledge and loving the Astromech droid - is it custom? Regardless, the placement of the color blue there helps keep the eye flowing from point to point (the composition would seem empty without him).

I myself favor playset builds to displays, but this is something that could change my mind. Thanks for sharing.

Whole build looks awesome - very detailed. Minifigs are awesome. The story reminds me on book Darth Plagueis ...

If I'd mention what I don't like about this model, this post would be blank.

But since that's rather pointless, I could just as well say I like everything. The nice compact scene with all the perfect (including some angled!) greebles, the verticalness of the greebles (I notice this for the first time), the innovative crates, the tension in the scene, the perfect balance between smooth and textured surfaces...

If I'd mention everything I like about this moment, this post would be too long.

I love how you could take such an earthly piece like the brick-brick and incorporate it in a way in those crates that it looks entirely sci-fi. The curved back wall of the tunnel is impressive, too.

The greebling stands out in this moc. The cargo bay area is also great as well as the sliding doors. Is there any playable functional features to it?

Playsets is what TLG does. I don't mind for any functionalities therefor no hidden areas or play features in my MOCs. I try to represent something as realistic as possible and therefor I prefer the fleshy to yellow figs. MOCs for me is all about looking good though I do like to look at some great functional models, but they usually lack aesthetics for the technic bricks and all the pins ...
