Also, would anyone be ale to assist with Indexing, a feature I would love to have but have discovered to be rather overwhelming. The reviews index involves images of the set, links to the review and the official Set name (well, you can see it at the top of the forum!). PenPlays Posted September 15, 2013 I'm afraid I can't help much with the indexing, but by the looks of it, you have a pair of helpful chaps more than willing to help. What I can help with is suggestions! When we had contests that short while during and after the Ninjago Month last year, we seemed to see a lot more action in this forum (I couldn't resist ) I know that you were offering physical prizes for the Ninjago ones in paricular, but tags are no object. Maybe some contests could be based off of older themes as well. I'm sure an Aquazone contest, for example, would be a hit! We could also use some more reviews. I know that there really is only a review spike when a new wave of sets come out, but if we could find a way to get a review out every other week on a new(ish) set, that could definitely bring some more user traffic in. I've been thinking about starting to do some pictorial reviews (rather than mini-reviews in the set's respective forum), but I think that I should do some studying on the Academy's reviews first. PenPlays Posted September 16, 2013 (edited) Another suggestion. As much as I adore that watercolor rendition of the Ninjago Monastery from Lego Universe, it makes this forum look solely Ninjago. Contests are a surefire way to get more activity going on here, and I haven't really seen that much contests being held in the action forums. There could be tons of ideas for the contest - it's an action forum right? Vignettes, actions dioramas, stories and even new themes can be the topic of contests. I'm not suggesting they be merged into the main topics for those themes, but rather that the "official topics" for discussion of those shows be moved here in addition to the main set discussion topics. It just doesn't make sense to me that they're relegated to a forum that contains discussion of all media, whether Lego-related or not. Also, I think that having those topics in this subforum would make people who come here to discuss those themes more aware of them, which in turn would keep the show discussion from bleeding over into the sets topics as often. I think a lot of times, show discussion ends up in the sets topics because people aren't aware of or don't visit the culture and multimedia subforum. Having both types of topic readily available in the action themes subforum would make it so that we'd need fewer reminders that show discussion takes place in a completely different corner of the site. I wouldn't mid having something alittle more organized for the reviews and such but I like having the "Talk of the Day" pinned at the top. Easier for mobile.
