Hi, everybody. I submit to your attention the photoreview of a remarkable set of 79110 Silver Mine Shootout from the Lone Ranger series.

Box of this set of very impressive sizes. And it is rather heavy.

On the face, except the set, it is possible to see:

- all heroes of this set

- recommended age rating and the set name

- company logo Disney, belonging the rights to "Lone Ranger"

On the back party of a box are shown both game, and functional components of a set which in a set very much and there is a lot of!

The face parties of a box - as scale here are represented... all minifigs of a set!

Having opened a box, we see that she is almost completely killed! Its rather big weight also is explained by it.

Box contents:

- 7 big packages with details

- instructions - are packed into packages and laid by a piece of cardboard that weren't rumpled! In the same place lie both falls imitation, and stickers.

In a set there are many rare, interesting and simply necessary details!

I want to pay your attention that the set justifies the name "Silver Mine Shootout" as here really there are a lot of silvery details! On a photo the part them is only small.

Also in a set there are a lot of transparent details! And even there are rare Trans-Clear Tile 1 x 4!

Minifigs. In a set of 5 minifigs, but all of them are interesting!

- Chief Big Bear - the most remarkable minifigure of the Indian! Hairdress, torso, the head - everything in it is simply magnificent!

The head at a figure the bilateral. Pay attention to a mouth - when it is closed, looks as though toothless and when it is open - all teeth on a place! The torso is also ornamented from 2 parties. The hairdress is executed from rubber.

- Tonto - this Tonto differs a little from all other versions in sets of this series!

The raven, hairdress (also rubber) and a tomahawk - all this meets and in other sets of "lone ranger".

Distinction in drawings on the head, торсике and feet - all of them in dust \dirt!

Ordinary Tonto's comparison with Tonto from this set:

Thanks to sets of this series it is possible to collect quite good "army" of Indians!

- Lone Ranger - this figure also differs from the standard ranger drawing on a face, a torso and feet.

Comparison of rangers:

- Kyle - quite interesting bandit. Hat, the weapon and scarf - all this already saw. And here a torso ornamented from two parties, quite interesting! Head, by the way, the unilateral!

- Butch Cavendish - a figure remarkable and charismatic. But differs nothing from same in a set of 79111 Constitution Train Chase.

Both the head, and a torso - bilateral. The hat with hair is uniform and executed from plastic.

Bandits from all which are available for me, "Lone Ranger" sets!

We pass to assembly. During assembly I will show you and functional features of a set. And them as you will see, there is a lot of!

At first separate elements of a set gather.

The cart car - is used for transportation of silver ore.

In a set surprisingly there is a lot of spare details!

- Minifigures and a mine design in a set - are smart! In general, all sets of this series - ideal "revival" of the Western (IMHO)!

Thanks for these lovely pictures. As I tend to write overly lengthy reviews myself, I would never have found myself saying that one could have too many pictures, but I think this almost qualifies

Regardless, this is a great set and showcases perfectly what I love about LEGO's (generally one-off) movie licensed themes - these themes give LEGO an opportunity to make unusual stuff unlike what they do in all of the vehicle-based or iconic-license themes (LotR, HP, etc.). Prince of Persia and now Lone Ranger have given us a lot of sets that look uniquely great, aren't too specific to anything, and make superb parts packs as well. Since these films don't have iconic imagery, the sets really have a broad reach.

Thanks for the review, it's truly a great set with many functions and superb figs. I also noticed that Butch has a beard on one side od his head but none on the other looks strange but I can't reember if he shaved during the movie. Thanks again for these big bunch of nice quality pics and comments!

EDIT: I rewatched the movie and Butch is disturbed during shaving that's why he has beard only on one side, remarkable detail!

CONGRATULATIONS! Wow! This is one cool set AND REVIEW!

The photos are first rate and show the action quite well, especially the Indians shooting arrows while rolling down the chute! The minifigs are first rate also.

My favorite part of the entire set (and there is so much to admire here) is the Longhorn skull mounted above the window! It is a very special animal for most Texans as Longhorns ran wild and were highly admired by early settlers....Texas only became a state in 1845 (we all had to take state history and geography....there are 256 counties! in middle school.)

Lovely, sharp pictures!

I bought this set on sale recently from Shop@Home, mainly because it's such a good parts pack. I just built it, and have to say I was really quite impressed. There are a load of great play features, from the multiple little caverns with secret entrances; the winch and trap-door which not only causes figures to fall through but also launches the big rock; the dynamite launcher and cow-skull shooter; and of course the slide which with luck will transport a minifig into the cart. (I found they tend to overshoot, but hey).

There's also a little lesson in landscaping. The techniques are relatively simple, but the result is really quite attractive yet natural-looking; most AFOLs who are building cliffs or rock features would probably stick to a more monochrome look, but the genius here is that different colours are used for different parts, which makes building far simpler. The mine entrance is really well done.

As a parts pack, this is outstanding - I needed lots of 1x2x3 tan slopes, and the myriad tan and dark tan parts - some of which I didn't have - are extremely useful. I'd recommend this to anyone who is thinking about building a desert landscape. 1x4 trans-clear tiles!

I have no interest in the Lone Ranger franchise - but, as others have said, these one-off themes can be very useful. It's almost up there with Prince of Persia for the parts selection.

I finally got around to building this set last night. Out of all the sets in this theme, this was the last one I acquired because it didn't really look all that great to me. Seeing it in person, I find it okay, but I wouldn't have been sad had I missed it. Personally I found the build tedious... you must turn the set around and around during the build and it seems like they used about four different parts over and over so it was sometimes hard to tell where the new piece was added. Thank goodness they used part call outs to let you know which pieces were used in each step, without those this set would have been nearly impossible to build accurately.

I will admit that the multiple colors used for the rock face work well. It creates a sense of weathering, in some spots a piece of rock will break off and will be a lighter shade due to not having been exposed to the weather and air for as long.

Thanks for the good review... for those in the US I picked mine up at a Tuesday Morning store for $40 which seems to be a good price. If you want a lot of slopes in earth tones, this is the set to get. If you have the other sets in the theme, the biggest draw here is the minifigure for the Chief. If you can live without him, you can probably skip this set if you aren't looking for the slopes. The parts here would probably be good for western, castle, and Lord of the Rings builders.

Thanks for the detailed photoreview. This was very helpful and instrumental in me getting this set - bought two on sale for $50 Oz each so a decent price. It was a fun build but I'm not sure I'm that in love with the set. Does the train go though this? I mainly bought the set for the tan and rock peices, plus the slide. I have a bunch of narrow gauge slope and curve track and I have dreams of doing a larger version of Jabba's palace and Rancor Pit or a Disneyesque Big Thunder Mountain Railroad - so this set works well.
