Don't Know if it has been done?

Recommended Posts

Came up with this the other day.

After looking and looking could not find anything of the sort.

transmission-5speed-gears.gif

So I tinkered for a day or so and came up with this:

linier4speed017.jpg

My Linier 4 Speed Gearbox.

linier4speed019.jpg

linier4speed010.jpg

linier_4_speed-2.jpg

Orange is the output.

Red and Yellow(yellow) are the input. you can use either one.

Blue and Green are for the shift lever.

The shift lever you need 4265b.gif and 4273.gif for the off set of the axle.

The green and blue are just for referance. The axle for the shift lever is a 12L and 6L axle with a connecter and can be in

6536.jpg, 32291.jpg, or 63869.gif, and using

41677.jpg or

6632.jpgin any combonation for your install.

I got a some more pictures you can see. will post when the folder is public.

P.S. the shift lever can be on either end.

I did modify the gears, to get the ratios i needed. A differential had to give its 24tooth gear, a 20 tooth got a clutch inserted, a 12 tooth was glued to a clutch, and a nortmal 16 tooth clutch gear was used. :)

I was just making one without glue or cutting. With how mine is designed it is basically a regular 4-speed gearbox but in long form.
