Tariq j Posted July 24, 2013 (edited) Hi all, I've basically explained it all in the title. Should I join bricklink? I've seen quite a few times and it looks a decent place to buy Lego, I normally buy alot of Lego of amazon but bricklink seems cheaper so I'm considering joining. Trance89 Posted July 24, 2013 Bricklink is a lot cheaper and easier if you need parts for your MOC's. Especially when it comes to large amounts of parts. I can't imagine you want to buy 50 copies of the same set to get a specific piece 100 times for example. (and also getting a lot of parts you don't need) You can always check inventories of sets first (also possible via BrickLink) because sometimes it's still better to buy a set if the majority of the parts are usable. It will also save you money.
dr_spock Posted July 24, 2013 It doesn't hurt if you ever need to order some parts.
1974 Posted July 24, 2013 You mention amazon, so I guess you mainly buy sets? BL is _the_ place to go for sny LEGO purchases! You'll find just about anything there, no such other place exists
jluck Posted July 24, 2013 Yep, they've pretty much told ya but I agree, bricklinks is the place for special single pieces or bulk buys.
Kye33 Posted July 24, 2013 I love bricklink! Best place to buy in bulk! I just ordered 1000 flower stems from the one seller! So easy!
eurotrash Posted July 25, 2013 Bricklink is a fantastic site - sure it looks like it was written for Windows/98 but it's unbeatable for individual bricks.
Kristel Posted July 25, 2013 BrickLink is a great way to buy parts, but you do have great sellers and not so good sellers. Check feedback and store terms before you submit an order.
Tariq j Posted July 25, 2013 Hi, thank you for all the replies, probably when I'm free, today or tommorow I'll join bricklink.
Kivi Posted July 25, 2013 Should I join bricklink? Definitely, if not already a must, if you're into mocing, but it's great too if you're only looking for sets or any other stuff. I had virtually the same dilemma a few years ago and thought that I could have done without it. But as my mocs grew larger and ever more sophisticated, buying on BL was the only solution. Just be prepared for all the $$$ that you might spend, it's quite easy to spend a fortune once you see what can you get there.
kermit Posted July 25, 2013 (edited) I think any lego fan must have a bricklink account. Its free to sign up and it opens up doors that is not currently avaliable via lego stores or shop at home. Edited July 25, 2013 by kermit
