But that was a bit hard to buy (I don't know it is only happen to me  )

So, I tried to make boat without boat hulls.

In april, I made something, which is Very Slow, Just float a bit, Also Can't turn.

And, I just tried to make something turn, But with NXT, that was So Slow, just Turning...

Actually, we of BeLUG organise each year a rc boat race, it's very fun  I even made a water skier

But for a good lego boat, you will need a boat hull or a creator box (like mahj) or bionicle boxes,

You will find many good designs on youtube

It worked pretty good, but it wasn't that fast. The competition was mainly about 'who has the fastest boat', but I think we can say the we all liked the voith schneider the most, due to his complexity.

In the 2012 series I rebuild your boat in yellow, but this one sank during the competition. I think this came because I used a normal PF battery box, so the weight was more on the front side. The red one with the 6 paddles is also my boat.

We are now planning a 2013 boatrace and this will probably take place on July, 6th. Expect a movie from that race within a week after the race :)

BTW: I like your voith schneider a lot!

Yes indeed! But all the parts survived, so it was fun afterwards to have that on video. :)

About your voith schneider, I will post a link on our forum to ask if anyone want to try that. Maybe if I have the correct parts, I will try to rebuild those for my own vessel (I don't have the normal screws, so I need to find every year another solution to make my boat go back and forward  )

To Kwon:

If you want a boat function properly above surface of water , you will have to reduce water resistance to hull so that boat can move smoothly over the water.

Use the hulls, Lego isn't designed to float except for the hulls so unless you want to damage your expensive motors, you need to use the hulls. Just saying

Also, Sariel has built quite a few boats http://sariel.pl/cat.../marinevessels/

Good! Thanks a lot!
