inquisitor88 Posted May 8, 2013 Hello SW fans, today I decided to clean the bookshelves for summer SW sets and started to disassemble old sets. What kind of a bad designer came up this construction deadlock? How to disassemble these pieces? If you do not understand the construction, see the instructions here. I think the key is the Dark Tan Technic, Axle 3 with Stud but how to remove it?
inquisitor88 Posted May 8, 2013 Done. The method is: separate yellow brick and gray technic brick. Then connect all as it was and you will get the clearance between axle and technic brick.
Borex Posted May 9, 2013 haha had the same problem once!
TheLegoDr Posted May 10, 2013 I haven't disassembled that, but I recall when I was building it to think it was a bit odd. I was contemplating selling my copy, so I would have to disassemble it for shipping. Grr.
KazeMonsuta Posted May 10, 2013 (edited) Ha! I had the same problem just yesterday! I think I loosened the bottom grey bricks and pulled them out and then deconstructed it from the bottom. Edited May 10, 2013 by KazeMonsuta
TWP Posted May 11, 2013 Yeah, it is kind of hard to disasseble it. What I did, is first get the axle 3 with stud out. You could do that either by placing a bar 4L on that, then place a 1x1 cone over that on the stud. That might get it out, or you could gently try to pull the two "walls" in an opposite direction, then push those back, and then there is a small gab, so you can pull the axles out. The rest is then child's play.
