Ok so I made it in 3 minutes..... :laugh:

The brake works by using two small rubber connectors above the two pulley wheels.

Turning the top gear brings down the connector slowing down the wheel.

I would imagine that if you used a servo motor you could get regulate the brakes power.

Feel free to use it in your design,instructions can be made on request. :classic:

hey alasdair! i was thinking to something like that for my car :)

the only thing is that as my car is FWD i will need to make it quite different because i won't have any differential on the rear axle :)

so ill need to make 2 brakes, one for each wheel :P

Thanks for the feedback. :grin:

Nice, but I don't think it'll be working that great when you make the car go the other way, since I guess it would just pull of the rubber part.

You could always add a bush or have another brake pad on the other side.

Nice idea, but surely you would need two, when using a diff, because all the power would be transferred to the right side, where there isn't a brake.

Yes you do,I though most people would of known that..... :blush:

Also it should be better braced around the axles.

Yeah, I thought that as well. It's much simpler than the design that I'm making now, which is similar to Sheepo's, but still simpler than that.

@MagooMan418

Welcome to Eurobricks. Please read the site guidelines about posting in old topics. Asking instructions by bumping 4 year old topic is against those guidelines.

It also seems like this axle can be built without instructions.
