LDD in Linux (Wine)

Recommended Posts

Are there any other Linux users (Debian/Ubuntu, specifically) who have successfully installed/run LDD in Wine? I try to install it, but I get an error about Adobe Flash player, even though I've installed Flash Player in Wine.

I once had it installed on a virtual machine running Linux, though I've since deleted the machine because I really didn't need it and it was taking up precious disk space. I don't remember how I installed it, but I remember I had some trouble until I reinstalled it using the root admin account. Not much to go on, but maybe that tip will work for you.

Well, thanks for the reply- I don't like to do much as root, but it may make a difference- I'll try it.

I am sorry I'm answering an old topic, but this may help a lot of people. I had a hard time trying to install LDD at Linux by Wine. I guess the secret is at the library, and PlayOnLinux may help a lot on that! I remember I installed a bunch of adobe library, including adobe Air, Flash player, Xvid (I read somewhere it would help, but I am not sure), every dll I could (cos it doesn't kill anyone), and so it worked. A few days ago I installed LDD 2.3 too (for some reason I am yet to find) and at this time it was really easy, just put a bunch of library.

at least for me it runs far better and faster than at windows.
