Z to zoom into your character. Alt + Z toggles UI too, if you want a better view.

Ah okay, thanks. :)

It's looks like a pretty good game so far, and the LEGO store level was very meta!

Does anyone know what the "New Areas" for the 12 month subscription are?

I've got the 12 month subscription, but can't seem to find 'em yet. Will be asking Support if there are any yet. Guessing our first early access zones will be Mythology World, whenever that's ready.

EDIT: There are no extra areas yet. Asked support.

Ah okay, thanks. :)

No problem! :classic:

It's pretty good, yeah! Been playing since last year, really enjoying it so far! The Hub is interesting, especially the old version of the minigame platform.

August 27, 2014 Update:

· During 2Q14 the development of the licensed

LEGO® Minifigures Online game went according to

plan with the Open Beta phase start in June as the

main milestone. The game is on schedule to release

commercially this fall, in conjunction with the

release of the Series 12 LEGO Minifigures.

· The initial feedback from the Open Beta players is

in line with the development team’s findings in the

latter part of the Closed Beta phase, the core game

mechanics and fun factor seems to resonate well

amongst the gamers.

· Major co-promotion activities together with LEGO®

to commence in October, including full product

integration into all Series 12 Minifigure bags as well

as cross-promotion on LEGO.com'

LEGO® Minifigures Online is the first game to be

developed under the new strategy. The long-term

goal is to produce titles in parallel releasing more

than one game a year.

The new loan will

provide cash relief to the Company and the freed

funds can be used in operations and for the launch

of LEGO Minifigures Online. The new loan

agreement will be executed by the end of 3Q14.

· The licensed LEGO® Minifigures Online game

produced in Oslo reached Open Beta release at the

end of June 2014. Several other significant

milestones were achieved during 2Q14.

· The initial feedback from the Open Beta players is

in line with feedback from the latter part of the

Closed Beta phase, the core game mechanics and

fun factor seems to resonate well amongst the

gamers in the core target audience.

· Based on the initial feedback several updates to

game elements and business model tweaking, as

well as continuous polish to the game have been

initiated during summer.

· A major content and feature update is due in August

addressing some of the feedback collected so far.

· Another large update is scheduled in 3Q prior to

commercial launch, including more content, new

gameplay and continuous tweaks to current

gameplay and business model.

· It is the Company’s view that the team’s processing

of feedback and the ability to turn it into actionable

tasks is positive.

· The game is now fully playable on the latest iOS

tablets, where initial Closed Beta has started..

· The Company underlines that a game in the “free to

play” segment, like LEGO® Minifigures Online, will

keep on changing and evolving over time to adjust

features, game-play mechanics and details in the

business model that address issues and/or adapt to

changes in trends within the segment or in customer

expectations.

· The LEGO® Minifigures Online game is a licensed

game where a normal license deal applies between

the Company and LEGO®. Under these

circumstances Funcom assumes the investment

and development risks and keeps most of the

revenues in return.

· The Company strongly encourage investors and

others to seek information about “free to play”

models, how a game in this segment is released to

the market, and the difference in revenue streams

compared to traditional client fee for packaged

game and subscription based models.

· The Company continues to work actively in securing

other opportunities fitting the company strategy of

building high quality, focused MMO’s in the midcore

segment.

· The Company continues to develop the technology

to become cross platform compatible. The

technology is now iOS compatible as well as

enabled for the Android platform.

· In 2Q the work has started on making the

technology MacOS compatible.

· It is the company’s goal to release LEGO®

Minifigures Online on the PC platform and iOS

(selected iPad version) this fall.

· The company is in advanced discussions with a

selection of Android platform developers to seek

opportunities to release LEGO® Minifigures Online

on Android platforms (tablets) early next year.

The development of the game is on schedule for product integration and increased

promotional activities this fall

The core game mechanics and fun factor seems to resonate well amongst the

gamers

Focus in 3Q is on increasing amount of content and features, as well as updating

game systems related to retention and collection

l During the summer holidays the development team has gathered feedback from

Beta players and analyzed key data points. The most recent game update released

this week address several of these:

l Mythology World including 9 new playfields and 4 boss fights

l All 16 LEGO Minifigures from Series 11

l A new system for collecting minifigures via the collection of minifigure parts

l Friend Code system that allows players to generate a code they can give to their friends so they

can become friends in the game.

l Code redemption feature that will allow players to enter promotional codes to unlock in game

rewards

Member only reward chests – will drive membership uptake

Private and confidential– intended solely for use by the recipient

l l A new system that allows players to pay in order to reduce the “cooldown” on replaying

dungeons

l The launch update will continue to build on the collected data points and feedback

and will include, as well as tweaks to the business model:

l All 16 LEGO Minifigures from Series 12

l Physical toy integration via redeemable codes that unlock minifigures in the game

l Elemental affinity system – will increase the need for more minifigures in your collection

l New repeatable challenges in a brand new game world

l Achievement System – will drive repeat play and engagement

l Improved map systems

l Launch in select markets initially with more territories and languages being

added in later stages

l Initial business model assumptions implemented in 2Q, to be iterated and

optimized throughout Open Beta and launch phase

l Launch phase for LEGO Minifigures Online covers the period from Open Beta

launch to commercial launch in October 2014 and six months succeeding that

The Open Beta version will offer some initial content, with more content and

Private and confidential– intended solely for use by the recipient

l features being added continiously throughout the launch phase and beyond

l Included in the game for the first phase of Open Beta was :

l Three rich and fully populated LEGO worlds to explore

l More than 30 various minifigures to collect, each one with unique

abilities to unlock and develop

l Full integration with LEGO ID log-in and account system

l A brand new render engine, optimized for cross-platform play

l Parent and safety features in full COPPA compliance

l The current strategy is to launch this game as a “’Free to play” game in Open Beta in June

2014 and to update content and features continuously based on player feedback and

metrics

l What defines a game in the ”Free to play” space is the free entrance to the game where

you can play the whole game, or parts of it, for free

l The Company will for LEGO® Minifigures Online continuously evaluate different business

mechanics in the “Free to play” segment and change according to market needs

Private and confidential– intended solely for use by the recipient

l Typically a game in the ”Free to play” space will start soft with focused marketing in

limited markets while constantly tweaking and even changing game and business

mechanics for months and years after commercial launch

l Revenues will typically follow the same trend, starting soft for then to be grown

constantly as the game evolves over months and years

l The Company strongly advises investors to seek more information about the game

industry in general

LEGO Minifigures Online will be released commercially on schedule in October

We expect revenues for LEGO Minifigures Online to increase steadily throughout 2014, with full impact to

be expected in 2015

Wasn't there supposed to be an exclusive minifigure in September's LEGO Club magazine? In celebration of the game, in the previous issue, we got to vote for it. I didn't see it.

The funcom page says the Mythology World quest is helping Zeus but he barely appeared in the actual storyline.

There is more of the Mythology World to come?

(I hope there is, because I felt it was too simple)

I recently received my September issue and instead of getting an actual minifigure we get a code which unlocks it in the game.

Can you share the code (and where to use it)? :sweet:

These are one-time use (unique) codes. Sharing it wouldn't do anything if the person used the code already.

The codes are all for Galaxy Patrol, but AFAIK each code is unique per magazine sent out.

Oh okay, that's not usual for LEGO Club magazines since I remember most codes for anything in them often being the same.

New Trailer:

On a completely unrelated note to the beta test, the game is out of Beta, the Mythology and Dino Worlds are out, the level cap is now 30, Minifigures from series 9-12(And six Minifigures from series 7 and 8) are available, and achievements are out.

Does anyone think we should change the topic title?

Just was able to interview LMO's Lead Designer, Oscar Lopez Lacalle! Got some pretty nice info on content like Lost Creations and some word on how PvP is going to work! (Read it here)

Of course, yeah, the topic's title is a little outdated.. LMO Discussion would probably be a better title.

You're welcome!

Totally agreed. Certainly will push me into playing the game again, as I've recently had very little time to spend on it.

Hmm, maybe.

You're welcome, too! It was great to have the opportunity to get answers to some of the questions I had (and of course, a few other users suggested questions to me and got them answered).

Its a problem for those that just want to try the game or don't see the game as worth a buy. I tried getting into the game at least 3 times but i couldn't since i got so bored w/ it. The First time was as closed beta. I quit b/c i was stuck in pirate cove and they were wanting me to run the lame pirate trials thing again but i couldn't get into that section to do it and the other section needed a group of people to stand a chance but there were literally only like 2 or 3 others i saw around earlier but hadn't seen them since. Next time was in open and i had to do the tutorial all over again and i tried getting past the trials and couldn't and once again no one around to help. i gave it one final big effort just to discover that the final battle on the trials hardness had been jacked way up w/ no hopes of me winning and they blocked the chat out for people that weren't paying so i couldn't ask for help for the other part.

The Lego Minifigure Online has been officially released today on various platforms.

If you have a PC/Mac you can purchase the game directly from the Lego website (Credit Card/Pay Pal).

I don't understand why this game is not offered through Steam, as the other Lego games are offered there.

I have two Android tablets and Google Play tells me none of my devices are compatible. What Android devices will work with Lego Minifigure Online?

Update:

The supported iOS devices are iPad Air, iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 2, iPad Mini 3, iPhone 5S, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. On the Android platform, the game supports a limited selection of Intel x86 based tablets, with more devices planned to be supported during Q3 2015.

It seems the game is not getting the reception expected:

Funcom has investigated what could be the cause of low revenues and the low conversion from visits to purchase.

  • They mention that other LEGO games are tied to stronger and more popular products like LEGO Star Wars, The Hobbit, Marvel, Jurassic Park and others.
  • The target audience (age 7-12) is a challenge related to the purchasing ability.
  • The game has already been launched as free-to-play last year and many of the potential customers may already have played the game.
  • Negative press reviews and poor user reviews on Steam and other websites.
