What kind of models should we bring ?

Recommended Posts

We will surely display some of our models in billund so...

I'm just wondering if we should bring models from only one theme or building various stuff. I think concentrating on one theme could be good because it has much more impact !

What do you think ?

Any thoughts ?

I have some :$

1. One big display of one theme would be very impressive.

But that leaves all the but's

2. We don't build the same stuff.

3. We have different interests.

4. The LEGO bricks we have might not work with the choosen theme.

5. It would'nt show the variority of AFOL buliding.

6. It limits the creativity.

7. It would start the fight over "what theme is best"

Does that mean that I would prefer not to choose a theme?

No. Not really :D But I think it should be a combination.

Also it depends on the ambition of the display. How much do you expect?

Getting one big, one themed display, to work is much harder.

I agree with what John is saying, we should all bring different models to show that we have different building styles, and that we all like Lego for different reasons.

Eurobricks is a general Lego site, we do not specialise in just Castle or Space, so we should show this by bringing a range of creations.

If we all say what we plan to bring, then this can give us an idea of what the display will consist of.

Yeah, everybody should bring the things he/she likes to bring... I really have no idea so far what I could create for the event... Especially because I havent any idea when I have to build it and how much time I'll have...

Maybe I'll bring my Wing Commander fighter, the Vampire, if it will be finished ever.... :/ (I hadn't had any time to go on with building since my last sneak pics... :'( )

Maybe we could bring two things : one relative to a common subject and one we just like. this could a good compromised no ?

Good idea jipay.. so perhpas we sould all create a model which is relative to our site: Eurobricks?

The we could display our own creations, to show how we are all different and display all our Eurobricks creations, to show that Eurobricks brings us together! :)

Or you could just have one huge display for each major theme (Trains, Castle, Town, Space, Star Wars, Mecha, Technic/Mechanical, etc).
