Hi everybody!

I am back with a new project i would like to present here.

This is a crane truck motorized with only one power function M motor.

here are the functions of these MOC:

-Motorized stabilisators,

-Motorized rotation of the crane,

-Motorized first section of the crane,

-Motorized second section of the crane,

-Motorized snow plow up and down

-Motorized snow plow orientation,

-Direction on both first and third axle with reduction at the back one

-functional wheel in the cab

-liftable cabin

-flat 8 factice motor

-gearbox with 4 speeds

-opening doors with handle

-opening panel on the skip with handle,

Not present in the video ( i'll ad some pictures later)

-Extendable section on the crane,

-Led lights,

-New snow plow design

I hope you'll enjoy it.

Here is the video:

Thanks for watching!

Very impressive and complex build. You must have gotten a lot of ideas from the Unimog. I really like the idea of putting so many functions into a MOC and power them by a single motor. that is really ingenious.

If I understand this right, you have basically 3 gearboxes.

1. Is for speed control of the motor and located above the motor. It is driven by the second axle.

2. Is the gearbox in the middle. The handle of the driver side selects front or rear main drivetrain. The other handle selects front or rear secondary drivetrain.

3. Is the gearbox on the crane which handles the functions of the crane. It is powered by the primary drivetrain.

Rotation of the crane is achieve directly from the secondary drivetrain. Changing polarity changes the direction.

But now when I look at the snowplow, my theory won't work.

And something quick: The second battery box is just a dupe, right?

From what I can see, he's got a gearbox at the back for the 2 crane functions, a gearbox on the left side for legs+rotation and a third gearbox for the two gearboxes just mentioned.

Then he's got a 4 speed transmission in the driver's cabin. Dunno how he get the snowplow working though.

I think it's a great looking truck with many nice functions. Marvelous!

ok, I have some explanations for you.

There are four gearboxes.

The first one, located above the fake engine is use as a 4 speed gearbox.Manual

The second, located left side in the midle has two functions : stabilisators and PTO 1 in the front of the truck (used for the snow plow)

The third one, located right side is used for the crane rotation and for PTO2 (usedby the snow plow)

The last one, located at the rear is used for the two function of the crane.

the last three gearboxes are driven simultaneously by the M motor.

Gearboxes are engaging the functions, the BB is used as forward/reverse choise once the function selected.

The 4 speed gearbox in the cab is driven by the rear wheels.

The design of the crane is dependant of the wheight and the cynematics. 8258's one is very cool designed but not as much efficient. I wanted to have great functionalities first.

Thanks for all your comments.

EDIT: this truck was designed to be used by my 5 years son  . it was neccesary that the moc was very simple to use and safe :classic: . Clutch are used everywere and every command has 1 function only...

I agree with you, in technic functionalities first, second aesthetics, thank you for explanations.

This is great! I prefer this kind of building techniques better than putting dozens of motors inside and covering it all with bricks and panels.

Some minor things which I would still work on is gearing down some functions to get more power and less speed.

Overall this is awsome moc, that last axle with steering and single wheels is big bonus and touch of realism.

This truck is some outstanding building.

I would buy it if TLG released it as an official set. Or even...build one like it, using my imagination
