So, the bright, garish colors of the original 9398 4x4 Crawler chassis have been "toned down" to the gray colors more suitable for the Land Rover. It looks good.

Is it possible to do one in white? I have a white defender 90 with a black top, a Lego model would be awesome in my cubicle, to prevent anyone from getting the idea of promoting me anytime soon :)

Is there anyway to lower the body a few studs?

you could lower the suspension, but if it works great, i don't know.

(same story i don't have so much white)

I like both, Sheepo clearly has the original concept claim and the first model, Jaaptechnic seemingly took this concept [ as inspiration, which is fine ] and reworked it as an MOC, the actual result is two different models if you look closely, both are different enough to be seperate MOC's but i agree they do have similar lines in key places, however with legos that can happen.

Both involved alot of work.

A little time ago i introduced the Landrover Defender 90 on a 9398 crawler chassis.

Which was basically designed for the You-Design-It We-Make-It competition.

Because a lot of people loved the Landrover i made a Building instruction for it.

Right now, a year later. 3 new versions will be introduced soon.

The whole body is redesigned and the overall weight is reduced.

They all include building instructions made with Lpub and Bricksmith

Here is a sneak preview, I hope you like it!

looking better with the non crawler tyres also would it be possible to change the 4w-Steering to front steering only ans this is what real defenders have and they have terrible turning circles anyway

Haven't got Sheepo's 110 because i don't use Paypal (must ask a friend). But i confess i like Jaap's 90 a little bit more, so... as a Defender (and 9398) freak, bought a second 9398 set... just going to change a few parts to make it lighter... but build it allready.

Next step... starting to save to buy parts for the 110 eheheheheh

Here's the one I built, I modified the winch off the latest crawler to work with this model, couldn't help but build this as I have a real one lol.

The new Landrovers are ready!

I changed a lot of the design, better hood, detailled rear bumper, more curves in the roof and a lot more.

Glad you did not dropped that project and worked on it for so long

sorry for so many questions:

1.Why dont you make them on you own chassis?

2. Why dont you open rear part of red/LBG version with windows?

3. Is this body in the same scale as 62x20 wheels?

:classic:

That yellow one looks great!

When will the part list be available on rebrickable? I'd like to know how much these parts are going to cost me before I consider buying instructions.

Fantastic finished article. I've never been tempted to buy instructions for an MOC before ... but, I am sorely tempted now
