Here's the most interesting quote for me:

work in a toyshop in Australia, lego rep came in to do first half orders for next year

There is definitely going to be TMNT stuff and its based on the Nickelodeon franchise, there's Chima replacing Ninjago which is kinda like Avatar with humanoid animals, but there'll be fly wheel type things rather than spinners along with sets and Hero Factoryish figures, Star Wars has the Rancor pit which connects onto the bottom of Jabba's Palace from this year. There will be more Batman and Spiderman sets including DKR Batman chasing Bane in the Bat. Plus there's Iron Man 3 stuff set for release as well as Man Of Steel stuff. There's Hero Factory Brain something I've forgotten because Hero Factory bores me, but basically it looks like they have brain slug type things on their heads. There's more friends stuff with counter display bags. There's a pretty cool looking city set that's like a museum heist or some such thing that's a bit more detailed and aimed at the 6-12 bracket. I think that's everything interesting well everything that interested me, there's a little bit more Ninjago coming out to but that's the last of it no more spinners.

Like Avatar? With lego versions of those awesome choppers and mechs?

Chima could be a LAF theme too, or maybe he's talking about Speedorz. who knows. (he mentions Hero Factory-ish figures)

Humanoid brick build animals sound interesting. Hero Factorish figures....I hope this an addition and not the 'minifig'. Plus Lego seems to be wanting to have another game involved.

Perhaps we will see something like Monsuno or Huntik.

Can't say I like the new description of Chima. I'd much prefer an age of exploration-based theme. :hmpf_bad:

Same here, or maybe another magical/elemental series like Ninjago. Guess this means I'll only be spending my money on TMNT.

Also a bit annoyed Ninjago won't have spinners in 2013. I never cared for the game, but it was a semi-cheap way of getting the ninjas (I had a thing of wanting to get the characters with their "weapons of choice", which is how I view the golden weapons and extras they come with, which is why, for example I waited for the Zane ZX booster pack rather than getting the cheap set he was in).

Let's hope that isn't true. And I don't think there won't be any spinners in 2013. Ninjago is based on the spinner concept.

Alright, I am officially confused. We know of at least two possible 2013 themes that could potentially replace Ninjago: TMNT and Legends of Chima. Both have enough rumors attached to them that they seem plausible. And yet, we not only have gotten confimination from TLC that Ninjago would get another wave, but we've seen what is clearly a finalized stone warrior figure. How can all of these themes exist at the same time? Is is possible TLC has pulled another Alien Conquest and canceled an entire wave in order to make room for all the new stuff they're craming into Winter 2013? Or are we missing some other important detail that can explain all this madness?

The TV show? :shrug_confused: I really don't know, I'm just as confused.

The TV show is made by Cartoon Network, so no. I think that at least one of these rumored themes isn't true.

Or, possibly, one is actually not for 2013 but instead for 2014. (Legends of Chima, maybe?)

As it seems, whatever the replacement is it will most likely start next year and TLG leaked both of them to get us confused.

I certainly think there will be spinners next year because they are the breeding ground for the Ninjago theme.

Yes, it seems almost impossible to think of Ninjago and no spinners. It wouldn't make much sense for TLG either.

According to a source on Brickset Legends of Chima will replace Ninjago. The characters are minifigs with animal heads like Cats, Lions, alligators, Eagles, and they have Ripcords instead of Spinners.

I guess Turtles will be a smaller line, similar to Spongebob, as they say there's only 6 sets.

Ninjago has one more round with the GOLD NINJA and the GOLDEN DRAGON these plus instead of Garmadon it's now Garmatron and he's huge and has a cool new hat.

Not my info, just passing it on, so make of it what you may.

I guess LEGO wanted to make a Furry theme... :tongue:Sorry I had to...

Ripcords? What's the play feature of those?

And finally, the guy on Brickset also said that Ninjago isn't going to have spinners next year. That's weird.

I don´t believe any of that. What need is there for an oriental Fabuland 2.0? And there have been rumors about a golden ninja since we first saw Sensei Wu´s golden spinjitzu tornado.

Sorry, I think it's the TV show that's being referred to.

For a moment there, I thought ripcords was too specialised for Lego, but then I thought of the Visorak. And honestly, I know I loved it on them (though of course, I was in the target age back then).

I doubt this theme will have much success with AFOL Fabulanders, who're probably going to be disappointed that it'll be nothing like Fabuland. =J

Personally, I'm looking forward to it. I'd even say that it's my second-favourite rumoured 2013 theme. =)

I loved the Visorak ripcords, but it´s just not as much fun as adding kunai to a spinning top, putting a ninja on top of that, arming the ninja and then spinning the resulting abomination .

I believe it is finally time for me to sit back and wait for images displaying these sets. These are more rumors than I have EVER seen regarding future themes (for 2013 altogether), so much so that they can contradict each other. So I will wait.

Lets look back to Atlantis. It was the predecessor of NinjaGo and in january 2011 it did get a small, final, wave of five sets. In the same release Ninjago stormed into the lego universe. I don't remember with how many sets but it was well more than the five Atlantis got. And before Atlantis there were Power Miners and it too ended with a small wave simultanious with the big release of Atlantis. So the course of action has been for a while that the big action theme from the previous year is let go with a small release at the same time as the new one gets a big launch with tons of advertisments.

Looking at that the rumors do make perfect sense. Legends of Chima (hereafter: LoC) is most likely the theme replacing NinjaGo. Rumors say that NinjaGo will get around 6 sets and no spinners. This fits with the previous theme getting a small release. The no spinners rumor fits with the rumor of there being a game part (Speedorz according to some claim) to LoC just like NinjaGo had Spinjitzu. Lego want to shift the kids attention from NinjaGo and Spinjitzu to LoC and Speedorz and new spinners would delay that shift.

I have a hard time seeing TMNT as the replacement for NinjaGo. It's a License theme and even though it has similar foundations in the story (NinjaGo might actually have been inspired by TMNT) I still think the storielines and characters are different enough to not cause any confusion. Even though they're ninjas the heroes are turtles and the ninjas are actually found amongst the bad guys. Hadn't there been non-human characters on the bad guy side too it would almost be NinjaGo in reverse... So no TMNT is not the NinjaGo replacement.

There's also the new "Galaxy Quest" rumor and it sure fits in there presuming that Speedorz is the Spinjitzu equivalent for LoC.

Finally on the rumor list there's Polar Xxpress. In the Brickset posting there were said to be no polar theme. But the Lego Rep presentation that is done now is only for first half year (january - may) and there's an Action theme slot in summer/fall (depending on country) whitch might be this polar theme. So here's my prediction on how the release schedule for the rumored sets will look like this:

January:

NinjaGo

LoC

TMNT

"Space Quest"

2HY (june-august):

LoC

Polar Xxpress

1) I've always thought of Ninjago as Exo-Force, ever since I first saw it back in 2010. Year 1 and Year 2 would have a two fairly big waves, with Year 3 having one wave of around 6 sets.

2) If anything, I think Polar Xxpress would be a Winter 2014.

At this point I'd consider "Polar Xxpress" a prototype name for Galaxy Quest based on what we've heard. It seems the two themes are one in the same. I expect a theme similar to Ice Planet.
