Results of Round Eight of the Merry Women Battle:

>Dak uses Phoenix Essence on Sylph (Sylph: revived with full health)

After seeing two of their companions fall, Dak and Nur take drastic measures. Dak uses his only phoenix essence to bring Sylph back to his wits, while Nur throws a fire bomb, causing 5 damage to Robina and defeating Alanna. Sylph restores Dak back to full health, but Robina immediately shoots the black knight for 6 damage.

The party faces only Robina Hooter now.

He can't learn from this combat experience if he's sleepin' and we need everyone at their strongest if we're to succeed in our quest."

Sylph aims his rod at Robina, but the 4 damage it causes is not quite enough to take her down. Nur revives Johon back to full health. Dak summons his inner darkness to finally take care of the remaining enemy.

Nur's Actions

Nur attempts to cast a beneficial spell on Johon. He opens his pack and drinks from a grand tonic. He unwraps the raw meat and shovels it down his throat so he wouldn't have to share. Nur sees the three throwing shurikens in his pack then looks to his throwing arm covered in stone. The strength was better than before but any bit of finesse he had was gone. He wouldn't be throwing them again soon, not that he was any good with them in the first place. Then he eyed his helmet.

"Here Sylph. If you're going to try out your skill with the bow now from the back row, might as well have some extra protection." Nur hands Sylph his Helmet. "It's a momento from the quest I met Johon here in...keep it." Nur looks back down the path they just traveled. He thinks an opportunity was missed by leaving five merry women unconscious in the middle of nowhere with no law enforcement or other witnesses in sight. He grinned and returned from his daydreaming. "Anyone have a compass?"

Nur attempts to make Johon luckier with his scroll, but fails to do so, losing 5 ether. He quickly fixes the situation by consuming a Grand Tonic.

Meanwhile, Johon uses his Magic Compass to deduce that the boys have indeed turned right from the road leading to Brobric.

We chase after the boys to the right, but stay on guard for traps.

I drink a tonic.

"Thanks Nur," said Sylph pensively. He took the helmet into his iron gloved hands, looked it over and stepped into the bushes. He emerged adorned by a forest coloured hood draped over the helmet over his head. His animal skull-shaped helmet was strung across his back. Although the helmet he received was only somewhat obscuring, his face could not be seen through the umbrage of his fabric canopy. "It's temporary." he assured the awed party. "Let's go." He grunted in a voice that was somehow different. More pained. Had anyone glanced back, they would have watched the vibrant bush wilt, turn grey-brown, falter, and die.

The party decides to hurry after the boys, turning right from the Brobric road. Not bothering to look at the shrubbery behind the broken pole, they miss the signpost that warns about an old, rickety bridge ahead. The four men continue along the trail, until they hear a loud cracking sound and screams from up ahead. They rush forward and come to a ravine with a fast stream running in it.

Nuitan and Lyren are hanging onto the remains of a bridge that had broken as they were crossing it. The ropes on the bridge are giving in, so it wouldn't be long before the boys would fall into the deadly, cold mountain river.

The party barely hears the conversation across the roaring river. The boys have not noticed their presence yet, but if they get too close they will be spotted. They have to help the boys somehow before they fall. How will they do it?

If it's legal: Sylph nodded at Johon. He raised his arms and called out to the tree besides the rope bridge. He willed its roots to pull out of the dirt and provide a stable rope for the boys to climb. The effort was taxing and Sylph gasped for breath.

Sylph tried to conjure the tree next to the broken bridge to bend it to their aid, but unfortunately spellcasting was not one of the tricks of his trait. However, someone else in the party could be able to pull it off...

Nur winked his left eye to jut out a foothold for Nuitan on the right side of the destroyed bridge. At the very least it'd help stabilize the bridge a bit in the wind. He set his new walking stick against a tree. "Sylph, I believe it is working. Keep at it!" En Sabah Nur squinted at the tree nearby the broken bridge. With his right hand behind his back, he discretely cast a spell on the tree. Working the incantation with his fingers as he mumbled, he hoped to use the water absorbed by the tree to bend it enough for the boys to get a firm grasp and pull themselves to safety.
