StanleyRos Posted July 15, 2012 Hello everyone This is my little creation, since I just started colecting Star Wars sets. I only have 9493-1 X-wing Starfighter, and I wanted to try build something else before I will buy other sets. I chose Rebel Snowspeeder from Hoth So here it is Back side of model was little tricky with provided bricks and I know its bigger than it should be,but its satisfying for me and some other photos I wanted to create correct cockpit opening system but i dont have right parts for it
Tontus Posted July 15, 2012 That's really impressive, especially given the limitations of using only the pieces from the X-Wing. I'm looking forward to what else you can come up with when you increase you brick supply.
JackJonespaw Posted July 15, 2012 Wow, that's really nice! Even more impressive is that you built this out of the X-Wing!
purpleparadox Posted July 15, 2012 I'm impressed by the alternate model you made! I like it when people do things like this. Awesome idea.
Captain Coconut Posted July 16, 2012 That's a great snowspeeder, and doubly great considering it was an alternate build from a single set. Very impressive.
prateek Posted July 16, 2012 The nose is too long, but considering it's built from only the X-Wing, great job overall!
StanleyRos Posted July 16, 2012 (edited) Thanks everyone for positive comments i did little tweak on nose so it is not that long and I was even able to get the cockpit opening right.. Edited July 16, 2012 by StanleyRos
Bilbo Baggins Posted July 16, 2012 It looks pretty good, I think it lacks some orange though.
StanleyRos Posted July 16, 2012 there are no orange parts in X-wing set though
Valentin Mumble Posted July 16, 2012 (edited) It is indeed very neat. Could it be possible to have some kind of instructions (even very basic) ? I have the 9493 X-wing myself and I really love what you did with it ! Edited July 16, 2012 by Valentin Mumble
The Blue Brick Posted July 16, 2012 Excellent MOC. I too love to build MOCs using only the pieces in one set. It can be very challenging but fun at the same time. It makes you have to be ten times more creative. Yours came out perfectly.
StanleyRos Posted July 16, 2012 Could it be possible to have some kind of instructions (even very basic) ? I have the 9493 X-wing myself and I really love what you did with it ! I will make main parts in lego digital designer and shoot some photos how to put them together
Nom Carver Posted July 16, 2012 (edited) Welcome to the brick side, it's always good to have an original trilogy MOCer with us, your creation is very good, way better than the official model. Edited July 16, 2012 by Nom Carver
Valentin Mumble Posted July 16, 2012 That is very kind, thank you !
StanleyRos Posted July 17, 2012 So I finnaly created it in ldd : Snowspeeder parts I'm not good at instructions but i tried my best. you need to slide those side parts to back behind wings and then push it down then just cover holes and the window is pretty easy and visible here
DFOL Posted July 17, 2012 What a great way to introduce yourself to EB StanleyRos! Considering you only used parts from the 9493 X-Wing, i think you did quite an impressive job creating such a good looking snowspeeder! If you can do this much with the parts from just one set, i'd love to see what you can do with more parts at your disposal
