Identifying Collectible LEGO Minifigures by their weight

Recommended Posts

That would be very appreciated. By me, at least! :classic:

I'll post my measures too as soon as I'll be able to buy my box.

Heres my 2 cents to this series 9 weights..

Also the "map" to the box contents. Seems like they have been randomized, atleast on these two boxes. They both were factory sealed when I got them so it's not like someone has been thru them and mixing them..

Thanks... but your numbers worried me: There are not 3 complete series in a box as usual.

I hope I will not have the same problem with mine.

I love this system from an entertainment standpoint. Next time I buy figs at my local Target instead of "feeling them up" I'm going to take them to the pharmacy and have them weigh them for me on the electronic balance.

For series 9, this is the way they are distributed. Only 2 complete sets in a box.

That's why I got 3 boxes and not 2 like usually.

That's a terrible news.

We should stop buying instead than buy one more box, maybe they understand they are taking things too far.

Now I'm very undecided if buy the box or not.

Now the question is are the smart phone Scale Apps precise enough to weigh these?

@Rook

I didn't know there was these kind of softwares for smartphone, I use a small portable precision balance.

To understand, something like this: click.

Could you report an example for one or two of these "apps"?

How precise is that little scale? What's the minimal weighable quantity?

To that end, how precise are these apps people speak of?

I don't know about smartphone apps, but my precision balance wheights 1/100 of gram with a maximum weight of 100 grams.

Weight a sachet returns often different results (in a range of 2-3 hundredths of a gram), while weight more "solid" things like a coin is more precise.

For anyone wondering about portable scales, they're easily obtainable and readily available, and can even fit in the palm of your hand. Pretty cheap too. They are very accurate and can measure things like .0001, whatever it's called. Ask your friends who collect trading cards (or sell them), they probably know all about the scales and methods card shops use to rip people off lol.
