The Black Seas Barracuda mark II

Recommended Posts

Hi there

Well, I finally redone my BSB. I know, I had done it before, but now it contains more details, its higher, bigger, and with more gunpower!. Also, it was a nice experience, since it gave me an idea how would be to build my LDD project, the Queen Anne's Revenge, I don't know if some of you remember it, in case you don't, *Click*.

Since I built my last BSB, out of 2 original 6285 sets, I always wanted to fix some problems I experienced from observation. Now I know theres still some stuff to fix on this one, but hopefully these are less than before.

Anyway, I present you, my second try on the Black Seas Barracuda, didnt took pictures of the insides, the cabin have a good modular design, but the lowerdecks still need one or two redesigns to be 100% functional.

This is still a work in progress, and I'd really appreciate feedback, I know there's still lots of things to improve, and I am eager to hear any advice :)

PS. Looking at forums earlier, I realized Sebeus used on his HMS Intersector the same figurehead I was planning to for this one hehe, I knew I should had post this before :pir-tongue: ... ohh well.. Great minds thinks alike I suppose. :pir_laugh2:

Amazing ship Yawgmoth! I bought a BSB spare lot for £35 recently, and suprisingly it had alot of the oringnal parts. I ended up doing something like yours but smaller. As Im not well versed in ship knowledge, I will leave that side to the experts. I think its amazing how you have left the charm and the looks of the ship, so much so I can look at it and know what it originaly was, but added what the original lacked. One question, how many BSBs did it take to build this?

when i was looking through this MOC, i just kept looking at my BSB that is placed safely at a shelf, and you did really capture the essence of original one,

i specialy like the cabin, where the lower part looks like the original, and your cabin is in two sections, which is really good, i like it, because it reminds so much of the original, but yet its bugger and everything (i wont/cant say better, because i love the original alot)

and BTW, most people have alot of trouble just to collect one, how did you get your hands at two of thoose????

(unless you paid a huge amount of money)

as i said great ship, but, i would like to see it be extended by atleast 2 mid sections, and then make the yellow slopes that goes from the cabin to the main deck, in 1x3 and not 1x2

i think it would be alot better that way, or you can do as the original, and make some holds along the way down, else, nice ship,

This is inspirational!

I'm currently collecting parts for a MOC ship build. I have a BSB, a Caribbean Clipper, and another BSB on the way. I wasn't sure I'd be able to to what I want to do with the parts, but seeing what you've managed with just 2 BSB's (and a few extra bits) has re-affirmed my conviction to do this.

Regards

Rich

*oh2* WOW! Awesome ship! And by the looks of it, you got a nice, sizable crew. Also, I would love to see pictures of the lower deck and the cabins.

Impressive.

A lot of great details.

Would love to see any interior.

You really kept the essence of the original BSB.
