BasOne Posted April 17, 2012 (edited) Hi all, I've been doodling a bit with LDD and made this fighter, largely based on a B5 Starfury, but with my own input. But i couldn't think of a good name, so if anyone has any idea Hope you like http://www.brickshel...med_fighter.lxf LXF will be available shortly. TenorPenny Posted April 17, 2012 The engine decoration look like feathers, so I suggest something bird-like for a name! I like the size and scale, it looks suitably dangerous!
zero1312 Posted April 17, 2012 It actually resembles the fighters from Babylon 5....
Venunder Posted April 17, 2012 B5 only the best Sci-fi TV series of the last 20 years. I would love to see this proposed on Cuusoo. Although it probably wouldn't get through. Even if it did pass I doubt that Lego would produce it unless they lost the licence for Star Wars.
Laura Beinbrech Posted April 17, 2012 Awesome work! This looks like the Star Fury's heavy bomber cousin or something along those lines. Looks wicked cool!
Lego Otaku Posted April 18, 2012 it does look like the later version that can fly in atmosphere. But with Jedi color.
BasOne Posted April 18, 2012 It looks like a cross between the Starfury and the Thunderbolt. I might actully try my hand a recreating both ships more true to their form in B5. But i need to get a smoother more angled hull, still trying though, stay tuned for a Mk. II
LEGOman273 Posted April 18, 2012 Very good work. As for the name: ZR-3 Starhawk *In the year 3659 N.E. (New Era), the coalition government of the Zeltor Republic voted to commission 4,000 new ZR-3 Starhawk ships in response to the reemergance of the terrorist faction Barkél. Most of these ships were isued to dignitaries for use in protection from Barkél ambushes when travelling to distant systems. Some, however, were assigned to privately-owned fleets to protect vital trade routes. . .*
