mephistopheles Posted April 15, 2012 (edited) Hi! Over at the Historica Forum I've posted a Siege Engine (or kind of Mech if you like it better this way) build you might find interesting. Here is the original post: Woodawardian Siege Engine It's one of the moments when anachronism makes fun I hope you like it. The Joker1 Posted April 15, 2012 Nice work. That is quite an unusual design but it works well. I am supprised it dosent fall over.
TenorPenny Posted April 15, 2012 I really like the downward facing axes!
Vindicare Posted April 16, 2012 Not bad at all. I like the definite old feel look it has, except for the control levers. They look too advanced for it's time. I'm not too sure what else could be used that wouldn't be too bulky...was thinking at first the small, four pronged wheel, but you'd run into the issue... For lack of a better result, it looks fine, but something more archaic would be better. Like the spears instead of cannons/guns.
Si-MOCs Posted April 17, 2012 Silly Avalonian... there weren't Mechs back then Though this is pretty awesome and very fun! The angling of the spears gives it a really "don't mess with me" feel. My suggestion to take this to the next level would be to angle the axes forward facing - so you can run into things - blades out. as well as maybe put some armour (or have an amoured knight) ride it - the blacksmith seems a bit... vulnerable. One of the Mpya Stedor Archers would easily take him out

mephistopheles Posted April 17, 2012 It made me smile and I immediately thought 'Ewok.' If it made you smile than it was worth building it.
