Evil Willy- An Imperial Fort with no name MOC

Recommended Posts

Well today I took out my LEGO for the first time in...Months Probabley since like "March"ish. So yes its basically an old imperial fort that is being re taken for use. It's crumbled due to war and is being brought back to service. It is rather small, enough for a few gun men, no cannons as of yet.

I like the concept of a fort desserted and than retaken as an epire expands and falls back (ala Rome in Britain). Very nice!

God Bless,

Nathan

Very nice Evil Willy! The MOC turns to be more than you can see in the first picture, very nice and creative!

Do you have plans to rebuild the fort to its full glory?

Maybe add some cannons and a watchtower?

Now it looks like it has been under some heavy gunfire from an ememy ship.

It looks a good start. I like small mocs.

It looks like the ruins of an old fort.

If I may make suggestions, add stairs from the fort to the pier, a boat, and 1 or 2 cannons of course...

Yeah!

I think you posted on my thread that you were inspired by my (somewhat larger) fortress.

I like the small fortress, and the design idea. It is also much more conducive to vegetation than mine currently is. I think that with what your idea is, you don't need to do much else to it, but if you did feel so inspired, maybe a tower with a large chunk taken out of one side so you can still see inside would work well.

Anyhow, one thing I could say about roofs in general though, is that if you are thinking about going with a roof, you could either make it flat on top, and turn it into more of a tower like structure, or you could put on a more conventional sloped roof... if you go for the later, I have found that one really easy, and convenient way to add a roof is to do it with magnets. Not only can you then remove the roof easily, but the you don't have to figure out how to attach it on both sides without pushing the whole thing inside you creation after you have one half of the roof on either...

As you can see in the upper left corner, there is one of the magnets used to hold on the roof...

or here...

you can see a pair of the magnets on each side. they are free to rotate side to side, but they instantly rotate to the correct place when the roof magnets get near by.

great moc willy

i wanta see pictures of whats on the small island baseplate in the background

ooooo more mocs

I think what you see is sabre island. So its no MOC. But thank you everyone for the kind comments...I will work on adding cannons and maybe building more but I have to say seeing the moc in real life is quite a difference! So i'll post pictures when the MOC is changed!

What do you mean staris from the fort to the pier? There are stairs but they are all crumbled. Hmm care to explain? Thank you!

These soldiers must have been really destitute to have to claim that fort. Does the fort have any history behind it, i.e. who originally built it? Background stories fascinate me you see.

Roofs are my weakness when it comes to building. I have no Idea how to makte them well.

The only way you're gonna get better at it is to build a few and experiment. So get crackin lad if yer ever want to put a roof over your solider's head!

Your right mister phes ohh so right. As for the history its believed to be possibly charmed with good luck for as long is it was run by the imperial all battles where won. One time though (It takes a few months to get there on ship) the ship of soldiers on the way there sunk, and with lack of telephones and other devices of the sort noone knew what had happened to them. The current generals of army ritired shortly after so the papers of the location of this place was lost. People forgot about it and eventually one day I, Evil Willy, found it. I used as a chache, and fought plenty of battles against the spanish(This fort is located in the caribbean) but eventually we lost, and know that the war between the spanish armada and the imperial has re-ignited, the old papers were found the imperials took hold of it(Not wanting to build a completly knew fort for that is expensive. And know here we are, its still under renovation of course! And thats the story my dear friend.

Your grammar is a bit off in that paragraph Evil Willy, but from what I gather this is an abandoned Imperial Fort reclaimed at a later date by the Imperials.

However, there's something I'm a bit confused about as you write:

"Charmed with good luck for as long is it was run by the imperial where won"

Ok, so if all battles were won there then why was it abandoned and left in ruin? Wouldn't the Imperials want to continuing operating in such a stronghold and therefore keep its location documented amongst more than one General?

So maybe the papers weren't actually lost, but were stolen and it was made to look like they were lost. Afterall, whoever stole them would have the Imperial navy on their back if anyone became suspicous.

Nice creation, Willy. I think it's a good ruin, but I don't think it really works as a fort in use. I think it might look cool if you built the ruins in light grey, then built with white on top of it, so that it looks like they are rebuilding with new stone on top of the old ruins.

No The papers were lost, and since the war was over there was no more need for the fort, and so it was left there to be used by I, Evil Willy. And yah the charmed with good luck phrase is just saying that the Imperial never lost a battle there.

Thats a Really good idea, which once again I might take into concideration thank you Sir Dillion!

The Imperials just assumed they'd never be involved in another war again? They're out of their minds!

I thought you were a pirate anyways - what's going on here?

Is that YOU in this image?

Ahh I see you have spoted me...Yes well I managed to get a spot in the recruits for the imperial army, I'm planning to murder the soldiers one by one on the island so my crew and I will take over this for once more!

out of context: (oops it seems I forgot to put a hook on his hand. ahahaha.

Well I'd assume that Evil Willy lost his hand whilst murdering the soldiers, or it happened after the events in the above picture was taken, but before the portrait of Evil Willy was made for your signature.

But where's your crew? And how did Evil Willy infiltrate the Imperial ranks and get away with it?

I volenteered as a normal soldier, which is rarely refused. Then when the expedition too the fort was declared I offered my services and was accepted due to the fact that most people did not want to be stranded on a small island in the carribean far away from home for months. As for my crew it is sailing the seas not too far from here.

Nice small for and dock *y* .Greenery mixes in well with the fort.

Just for the story:

What if the soldiers in the group of soldiers you were joining to go to the Island, knew you were going to kill the soldiers and were apart of pirates so they let you along on their protection on the fort when really the fort is covered with soldiers who will be ready to arrest ye pirates. :-)(If you want to continue with it or not or not include it is up to you.)

You're a sneaky little bugger Evil Willy!

Now, I was wondering if you wanted me to comment on the design of the MOC or are you happy with it the way it is?

Do not comment just yet, for like I said, the imperials have been making some major repairs and adding on, and so it would be a waste to review a destroyed structure when u could review a beautiful new structure :D
