The Penguin Posted February 20, 2012 Well, I've finally made it! Something I have been postponing for quite a while. G.C.P.D. blimp is finally here and is ready to spot some criminals! I hope you'll like it! Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
K-Nut Posted February 20, 2012 Good job, Penguin! Is there an interior to the bottom?
Oky Posted February 20, 2012 Very nice! I was wondering when somebody would make one of these, and you did it perfectly! In the animated series, the search lights were mounted at the front of the blimp, I believe, but the way you did it is OK since you can't really build anything onto the blimp piece. Any interior? lightningtiger Posted February 20, 2012 Great work 'The Penguin', though a perfect target for the Joker to bring down ! Bat-brick On 'The Penguin' !
JackJonespaw Posted February 20, 2012 This is a very nice blimp!
Brickmamba Posted February 20, 2012 Very nice, where you get the blimp parts from? Very nice, where you get the blimp parts from?
SoupOrFishOil Posted February 20, 2012 Really nice work. I can't find fault with it. Very nice, where you get the blimp parts from? To me it looks like he painted the blimp parts from an Adventurers set. I don't remember what it was called though.
LEGOman273 Posted February 21, 2012 Really nice work. I can't find fault with it. To me it looks like he painted the blimp parts from an Adventurers set. I don't remember what it was called though. Expedition Balloon.
The Penguin Posted February 21, 2012 Good job, Penguin! Is there an interior to the bottom? Thank you! Yes, there is an interior: a chair and a computer panel. Nothing worth showing, really. Very nice! I was wondering when somebody would make one of these, and you did it perfectly! In the animated series, the search lights were mounted at the front of the blimp, I believe, but the way you did it is OK since you can't really build anything onto the blimp piece. Any interior? Yes, I was surprised that noone before me made that iconic vehicle. Thank you very much, Oky! Were they on the front? As far as i recall from the intro they were hanging from the front..... ( nerd talk ) Great work 'The Penguin', though a perfect target for the Joker to bring down ! Bat-brick On 'The Penguin' ! Good thinking! In BTAS it was Scarecrow that blew up one! ) This is a very nice blimp! Thank you! ) Very nice, where you get the blimp parts from? Very nice, where you get the blimp parts from? As correctly said, from the Adventurers theme. Thanks! ) Really nice work. I can't find fault with it. To me it looks like he painted the blimp parts from an Adventurers set. I don't remember what it was called though. Thank you! Nope the balloon was grey from the start from the start and I do not paint LEGO, unless it's a minifig or something..... Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
Oky Posted February 21, 2012 Hm, watching one of the episodes, it seems I was mistaken. The intro made it seem like they were more toward the front, but the lights are just right where they are now. Never mind.
Peanuts Posted February 23, 2012 I always loved these iconic vehicles in BTAS (there really should be more police blimps in real life ), and you captured it quite well. Simple but very good looking. It's a shame TLG hasn't released one yet, would be a great chance to use that huge piece again. Maybe together with Scarecrow...*dreaming* Good thinking! In BTAS it was Scarecrow that blew up one! ) Correction: Scarecrow stole one and his goons blew it up trying to shoot Batman. Why would he blow up such a wonderful airship? Oky Posted February 23, 2012 Yeah, tje only villain i remember blowing one of these up is Zeus.

TheLegoJoker Posted July 6, 2012 Very nice police blimp! Wouldn't mind seeing one of those in the Superhero theme. Oh, and the face on that expedition blimp would make for a great Joker blimp. I need to find one of those.
Lightning Dragon Posted July 7, 2012 You should add some search lights and show us the inside. Great job, Penguin!

Spider-Man Posted July 9, 2012 That is awesome! Next up is G.C.P.D. Hot Air Balloon! Now that would be something
Rocketbilly Posted July 9, 2012 Superb MOC! very well made. Have you though about giving it a working spotlight like in the Pirates of the Caribbean Whitecap Bay set? I suppose it'd be difficult to make it blend in but would be a nice novelty. Keep up the good work!
