Future Superhero Set Ideas

Well, if it had the heroes as themselves and not in superheroes costumes, then I would buy it. In fact, TLC should really make that set right now!

That'd be a really nice change of pace. They did do Bruce Wayne in 'civies' in the Batcave, so I'm definitely hoping to see some more figs like that.

It isn't limited to just Star Wars. It is pretty much any case where you will see action figures in the toy aisle. So Star Wars, Superheroes, etc. (although they did manage to get around it for PotC, so there is hope.)

How do we know for sure it's not limited only to LEGO Star Wars products? Hasbro has a very long history with Lucasfilm, which is why straight-up minifigure packs for LEGO SW won't happen (as evidenced with the Dark Bucket project on CUUSOO) - Hasbro has exclusive rights to anything considered a 'Star Wars Action Figure' - they obviously used their might with G.Lu there. Remember, though, that it's Lucasfilm, not Hasbro, that ultimately formed the agreement with LEGO. There is no evidence to suggest the same stipulation/agreement with LEGO in regards to Marvel products (why would Disney demand such a thing?), and they don't even really have an analogous competitor with DC. Just because one license agreement blocks TLG from producing minifigure packs doesn't mean they all do.

I would love to see some of the vehicles from the Batman 2 game. Like others have done on the board, I'd love to see Lego step up too.

They should produce sets from the Civil War comic. Think about all the minifigures we could get, it would be awesome.

My predictions for 2013 are pretty similar to the ones mentioned already.

January 2013 DC:

2-3 Batman sets ( Nightwing, The Penguin and Mr. Freeze are all high probability figs) I would also guess for a new Bat Boat, Arkham type set and maybe a Bat Tumbler.

1-2 Green Lantern or The Flash sets. Leaning towards Green Lantern but The Flash might appear.

Spring and Summer: Man of Steel sets.

2013 Marvel sets:

Expecting a large D2C with Nick Fury in it.

1-4 Iron Man 3 sets and hopefully some Iron Man 1 & 2 sets thrown in.

Thor 2 sets, 1-3.

Some comic X-men sets and maybe a few Spider-man comic sets.

I also would expect a Marvel Dictionary and perhaps even a game by TT.

I forgot to put a Marvel Dictionary in my post! I don't think a Marvel game will come out as they would want to get the real voice actors for them, which might be hard.

I don't think they'll worry about the real actors for the voices. The new DC Game has neither Kevin Conroy or Christian Bale for Batman and it doesn't suffer for it. I think we'll get a Marvel game once the range starts to grow.

I am a huge DC fan, I haven't really followed Marvel since about 6 or 7 years ago but even I agree with the lack of Marvel for this wave so i am going to start with my wishes.

A Batcopter (maybe with Scarecrow's plane like the 07 version, although I would prefer something different.)

Killer Croc's lair (with something like that maybe with a Batsub.)

Also maybe spiderman sets with minfigs like hobgoblin and shocker.

Finally Iron Man 3 sets.

(for summer 2013 or 2014 i mean.)

I would love to see a future Ultimate Spider-man set based in the school. Include Spidey, Coulson, Luke Cage, Stan Lee the Janitor and maybe a villian like Trapster or Taskmaster.

Alternate Universe DC set with evil Superman and stuff.

What I want most is more locations and less vehicles. We have a lack of buildings and areas and I'm tired of having so many vehicles. It would be great to have Wayne manor or Wayne tower (Any Gotham structure would be wonderful). A Daily Planet would definitely be welcomed.

Also we need more civilian characters since we have few to none so far. What is the point of having so many heroes and villains if nobody is in peril? Give me Lois Lane, Vicki Vale, Commisioner Gordon (None TDKR version), Gwen Stacy, etc.
