I mean take Pirates of the Caribbean for an example. 4182 The Cannibal Escape is S$79.70! And 4192 Fountain of Youth is S$59.90! But so far, this theme is the most expensive one.The reason I only have one set from it. But city and other themes pricing are still okay. But can someone tell me why lego is expensive here! I'm from singapore too! prehaps why the prices of lego in s'pore is expensive is because Europeans earn more than Singaporeans. to them, lego seems cheaper cos they earn more. but for us, we earn less, but the price of lego is the same as theirs. hope this helps! Acheron Posted February 14, 2012 Mm... well I am not from Singapore, but as I do have friends in Korea who suffer from the same problem, I think I might have a partial answer. The 7187 Escape from Dragon's Prison, for instance, was only $19.99 at the Lego Store here in the US, but a friend in Korea told me that it was 26,600(ish) Korean Won there, which is the equivalent of abooooouuut.... 25~26 USD, and that's without tax at the cashier's register (as far as I know they don't and never did add taxes in that manner in SK). Now that's not an insane difference to be sure, but I do think they're charging more because they're imported items.
