Prison Riot! Day Two

Recommended Posts

Players only please!

001.jpg

It is the wee hours of the morning and Rufulzud Novadora is sneaking around the cell block in Cheleb Mensa Prison. He has a dastardly trick up his sleeve and if he is, or was, successful, that's bad news for another inmate, for sure.

002.jpg

A dark figure pops out of the dark corridor and stabs Rufulzud in the back.

003.jpg

Rufulzud Novadora dies quickly as his assailant drops the shiv and dashes off into the night.

004.jpg

Another dark figure appears and finds Rufulzud Novadora already expired.

005.jpg

Just for good measure the dark figure metagames stabs the corpse of Rufulzud repeatedly in the back with the shiv.

006.jpg

Green blood covers the floor of the cell block as the second assailant drops the shiv and runs off into the night.

007.jpg

Officer Elles Fissionfire stumbles upon the body while making her morning rounds.

008.jpg

Officer Cometfire Zun is quickly on the scene as well.

"Elles, will you have dinner with me?" He asks.

"Cometfire, one of our inmates has been murdered." Elles sighs, "This is hardly the time."

"It's never the time!" Cometfire whines.

009.jpg

Soon, all the inmates are out of their cells and gather to hear the morning announcement from Warden Bek Sunfell.

010.jpg

011.jpg

012.jpg

As the holo-screen goes blank, the inmates discuss who to send to the warden next...

Day Two has begun. You may not vote in the first 24 hours. The Meal Cart will come to you via PM shortly.

Rules

  1. Each player will be given a character to play, who will be aligned with either the Town (Model Inmates) or the Scum (Gang Members). To win the game, the Town must kill off all the Scum, while the Scum needs to outnumber the Town. Third-party (neutral) characters have their own win conditions as outlined in their roles.
  2. Each day you will vote to lynch a player. Voting should be done in the following format; Vote: Character (Player). Similarly, unvoting is to be done in the format; Unvote: Character (Player). Proxy voting is allowed, with the format Proxy: Character (Player) and Unproxy: Character (Player). No other format will be accepted. The player with the most votes will be lynched. In the case of a tie, no lynch will take place. Voting is mandatory. Failure to vote will result in the untimely death of your character. Please remember that the reason for the delay is that players all reside in different Time Zones. It is usually unfair to a player to log in and find themselves voted out. Accusations should occur during the first 24 hours as a courtesy to the accused to defend themselves before voting starts.
  3. A game day will last 48 hours. You may not vote in the first 24 hours. The day will end after 48 hours. After the day has been concluded, a night stage will commence, which will last 24 hours (or 48 hours if an emergency comes up). You are required to use your action. Night actions must be sent to the host in the first 20 hours of the night stage.
  4. You may not choose the same meal two days in a row. Players may not target themselves.
  5. The alignment of lynched players, as well as those that died during the night, will be revealed at the beginning of the next day.
  6. You may not quote or pretend to quote anything sent to you by the host via PM. That includes all the details of your character and role, as well as any night action results. Role claims and reporting of night action results are acceptable, but in your own words only. Do not attempt to use the structure of your role PM to your advantage.
  7. Do not play the game outside the thread. Similarly, do not post out of character inside the thread. Game tactics and roles may only be discussed in the game thread or via PM with other players. Private discussion is done at your own risk and should be treated as part of the game. Metagaming should similarly be done at your own risk.
  8. If you are dead, you may not post in thread or discuss the game with any of the players. Any information you had becomes void, and may not be passed on.
  9. You may not edit your posts.
  10. You must post in every day thread.
  11. Violation of the above rules will result in the untimely death of your character.
  12. If you encounter a problem or have a question, please contact the host via PM

Well this is actually good news, two members of the gang down for the count. Even if the multiple gang theory is right, we are off to a good start.

Wow, two separate factions going after the the same scum! What are the chances of that... None, actually. There is no way that a vig and a SK both went after Rufendal whatever his name. The primary reason being that the vig would have had no idea they were scum... But scum taking them out, that I can believe.

Would the two killers please step forward so we can crucify congratulate you and shower you with thanks for ridding us of scum? :sweet:

Depending on how many people are in the gang (which I suppose may all depend on the multiple scum theory), the El Plutns may well be down to half their number.

Rufulzud appears to be wielding a syringe. Looks like a potential poisoner was stopped dead in their tracks. It's ridiculous that Dr. Stormdream can't even keep his medical apparatus away from untrained hands. It's like I always say, "Never trust a sentient Crustacean with your medical apparatus".

Woohoo! Two Plutons down!

And now I have some good news and some bad news... Drakius Knight is scum. More scummy than most of us, he's actually a member of the Venus Lords Gang.

So now we know that there are two factions (at least), and we can deal with one of them today.

We nailed down two gang members yesterday? WOW, that's totally surprising!

And now I have some good news and some bad news... Drakius Knight is scum. More scummy than most of us, he's actually a member of the Venus Lords Gang.

So we have two gang factions here in the prison? That's very worrying for the innocent inmates here. Though it's a good thing since we have someone we could concretely lynch today.

This is indeed disturbing news, Shadowghost. If there are two factions, how many of us non-scum can there be? I have a feeling that this whole situation is worse than we thought. At least we're making progress in tracking down the scum, though.

Did you use the day investigator or a night investigator? I only ask because we are certain that the day one is not insane... though it seems unlikely with the name of a different gang that the night one would be insane either. How would it determine which gang name to spit out if it gave back insane results. I think today's vote is obvious. :sceptic:

Yeah, for it to give me an actual gang name, if it turned out to be insane, that would be a serious game ... of life ... breaker and I'd ride someone's megablocks about it forever.

As such, I think I'll hold off on revealing the nature of the investigation food. If we can keep this one alive for a few days, we should be able to get these scum under control.

Hot damn! At this rate we'll be out of this mess in no time. The news of another gang, if you think about it, is good news, as having the gangs fight amongst themselves certainly makes things easier for town. And now we've got a solid lead for today as well! Thanks for brining this to our attention Shadowghost. I sure hope you're not with the El Plutn's gang, using this as a method to clear yourself...

I was not asking you to reveal your meal! I was just wondering if insanity was an option (may seem far-fetched, but we apparently have two gangs in a group of 17, so who knows what's possible). But as I said, the scum name makes it seem that that is not the case.

I wonder where they put the dead body of Blazen! He must be all nice and crispy now.

Great news! Not only did we nail Jissaleh, but that blue-haired bastard Rufulzud is dead too. :sweet:

So we've got two investigative actions? Fantastic! I'm sure the El Plutns Gang must know by now which meal contains the day investigator role, so it's a good thing we've got a backup on hand.

We've got today sorted too, looks like it's all over bar the screaming for Drakius. Good work Shadowghost.

Huzzah, we've got two scum in a row!! :sweet: And it looks like our investigators are doing their job, having found yet another gang member! At this rate we'll be, uhm....back in our cells serving our terms?? Yeah, that sounds great.

Now we are in a very precarious position. Two gangs and the rest of us. Who knows what's going on but themselves? And the serial killer, most likely. Perhaps we shall find out more information when the day investigator comes forward today.

Exactly my fear. But then again, as Tierro on day 1, Shadowghost is sticking his neck out today. And I'm sure he knows his neck will be on the chopping block tomorrow if this turns out to be false information. If nothing comes up that contradicts this finding, I think the course of action for today will be clear again.

Umm, what is going on here? It seems that we're finding scum left and right... It seems that there might be more factions than none of us anticipated in this prison...

Perhaps we shall find out more information when the day investigator comes forward today.

Did you not hear Shadowghost? He already revealed that Drakius Knight belongs to the scummy Venus Gang. Like Tierro yesterday, I have no reason not to trust Shadowghost at this point.

Uh, yeah, I did, though I just assumed his information came from the night investigation meal. Shadowghost had not revealed whether it was from the day or night meal. At least that's what I'm thinking; that there are two investigative meals, one day, one night. I could be wrong, of course [Vote NPCP!], I don't have anyway of knowing unless I get the meal(s) :classic: .

All scum so far huh? What a pleasant surprise, yet I can't help but find it somewhat suspicious...

You're pointing fingers at me now? Is this because of that Nigeria thing? Because I can assure you, there is money there waiting to be claimed!

Another successful investigation? Terrific. We should be able to round up the rival gangs by the end of the week!

I'm just going to assume you're a member of the Venus Lords gang too

I agree. An investigation lead us to a Scum the other day, and he didn't doubt it there, but now he doubts the second investigation result? I guess we know who else to target when Drakius confesses.

Urgh.

I want to hear you analyze things more and explain why Drakius isn't scum, of course

(I would as well, since he isn't very convincing himself.

While the results of the night kills are very encouraging, the investigation today has on me the result of a cold shower. If there are many scum factions, then we can't conclude anything from someone revealing or killing a scum. It's every gang for themselves, and the town somewhere in the middle. Tough times ahead. At least, we have another lynch in the right direction coming up today.)
