My problem with detailed Cab is that they are to heavy at the front. I think there will be enough place with such wheelbase that you chose. One of reason that I switched to 1:15 scale is that I constantly lack one or two studs...

Indeed, these cab is heavy and on a 4x2 it is nearly to heavy, but on this wrecker the weight is a benefit.

Due to longer chassis weight could be evenly distributed what is good. But I still like shorter chassis on my mocs; perhaps in your case it is not such big deal since your models are motorised

Sometimes I envy you because due to my obligations I haven't touch my "projects" for about month. I can only enjoy looking others mocs...

I'm looking forward to see virgin drive of your truck.

BTW interesting combination of studless and studfull parts.

I agree that stability is very important. IMHO it looks like front axles are to much separated, but it drives relatively smooth.

The scanias has the second axle not directly behind the first one.

my idea for the front outriggers.

That is similar kind for my idea for outriggers for my Unimog U4023 with crane. Question is just does it take to much space and will it be disproportional is will it fit scale?

That sounds good. You were right; second front axle is a bit distanced from first front axle

I have one question, since you mostly build trucks...can this tire / rim combo be represented by LEGO 62.4 tire, or is it to obvious that LEGO tire has not enough low profile

(I have used smaller image of Scania V8 due to EB posting image rules)

Thanks

The 62 are not low profile enough

That crossed my mind... They are perfect for 1:16 scale  (22.5” time has 585-590mm diameter...)

Next step is Folding the stabilizers.

Perhaps you can use here this one

instead of that one

connected with this:

@Jim, I apologize for quoting picture, but I've just wanted to make my suggestion more understandable...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but from that image it looks like you use axle and not pin...and on image that I commented you use pin...

The first one was simply a test object

I understand. It is just that I do not like that something does not fit...or something is to long...
