Aveal the black sheep Posted September 24, 2011 Hello, I finally found some sculpey for sale in my town so picked some up. After letting it still for a while,I decided I should try and make something. I decided to do a big chunk of dinossaur meat for the series 1 caveman. That plan didn't work cause I didn´t have one of the big bones(I wanted to use a Lego bone as a start). So I went for a small piece of meat, similar to the turkey leg. It turned out ok I guess. Got some questions to you experienced sculptors out there...How can I make it smoother?sanding? Also should I paint like i did,or use sculpey from a more apropriate color? Anyway tell me what you guys think. Its a simple and humble start but I intend to step it up soon Sorry if the photos are a bit poor , I took then on a rush. legobodgers Posted October 1, 2011 That looks great! To me it looks good with its current texture, it looks like the drumstick piece texture.
wokajablocka Posted October 5, 2011 Im agreeing with legobodgers it looks like the texture on the current turkey peices and I like it. I havent used sculpey before but you can sand it if you want and if you can mix diffrent colours together to get the desired colour without painting.
