What If Battle Part 2 : British Line VS Musketeer

Recommended Posts

This is my second battle of my new series called What If Battles? This is where i place British line infantry against opponents they may have not encountered.

Location: Normandy, France

Date: 1700’s

Brief Story: As the British come down a dirt road in France, little do they know three Musketeers are ready to attack... Who do you think will win? :pir-laugh:

Obviously the British, the Musketeers have fencing foils (and they've left the balls on the end)! :pir-grin:

Nice MOC, the faces on the Musketeers suit them very well. Why are there bars on the rock formations?

I love your scene, looks exciting. but why didn't you arm the musketiers with muskets? I thought they had those. I think that would be a more honest fight, now with only swords.

Although the british infantry line were also musketeers ;) so the best question would be would the French or the English win, as they are both musketeers; soldiers armed with a musket.

I thought the word musketter derived from the word musket? :pir_wacko:

Anyway, I think the ruined house is quite well done, and so is the battle itself. The quality of the whole MOC has improved a lot since the first part, IMO. :pir-classic:

The Idea of Rapier-wielding Musketeers can be blamed on the 1960s Film. :pir-sweet:

edit:

I'd love to see a Matchlockmusket for Minifigs :pir-wub:

Ah well i remember seeing the one with charlie sheen :pir-classic:

Ah, so you were going for the time of...never.

Given the ambush scenario and proper armaments the French MUSKETeers would obviously win.

on second thought I totally back up Sparks on his choice for film based musketeers, the whole Lego mini-fig is not historically correct, as far as I know it is not supplied with Muskets. And this is a 'what if' topic so anything could be :)

If we would be talking about historical accuracy in Lego sets it could get reaaally messy :pir-classic:

So I'll just say that I really like your vivid style of fotography and the set-up of this scene.

Your painted backpacks look great. The hats are another story. Are you going to do pirates vs. ninjas? I've been wanting to do that for a while now.

That is a great possibility because i have a couple of ninjas :pir_laugh2:

I do agree that this looks much better than the first (and that was pretty good).

The photography looks great, and the whole scene is very well built. I especially like the musketeer hiding behind the ruins, his pose is perfect! :pir-wub:

And I still stand by my point that you'll have to do 'British VS Robots' some day. :pir_laugh2:
