Legostein Posted August 28, 2011 Hello! A good idea making a stud inversion for the pontoons which is not easy with only few parts available. Cheers, ~ Christopher
harakiri Posted August 29, 2011 Hi Legostein, thanks for the comment. Just made another plane out of that little set, but its too dark here already for taking decent pictures This needs to wait 'til tomorrow
Toa_Of_Justice Posted August 30, 2011 Awesome alternate model, harakiri! Since I own the set, I'm tempted to build a copy of it for myself. :dcool: I look forward to your next alternate model! -Toa Of Justice
harakiri Posted August 30, 2011 (edited) Its a flying boat, similar to a Catalina or a Dornier Superwal (hope this works. Brand new Brickshelf account!!) Edited August 31, 2011 by harakiri
Toa_Of_Justice Posted August 31, 2011 (edited) Fantastic work, harakiri! Once again, I'm tempted to build your creation from my own bricks. -Toa Of Justice EDIT: It seems the rear propeller tends to collide with the black 1x3 slope. I'd recommend raising the propeller assembly by inserting two of the silver 1x1 round plates from the set between the black 1x3 slope and the white 2x2 plate. harakiri Posted September 1, 2011 Hi Toa, >It seems the rear propeller tends to collide with the black 1x3 slope. I'd recommend raising the propeller assembly by inserting two of the silver 1x1 round plates from the set >between the black 1x3 slope and the white 2x2 plate. See the picture below: Well you caught me I tried the method you described, but It did not look right in my eyes. I will check later if I find a way to modify this that I like more. I am thinking that placing the two silver 1x1 round plates under the 1x3 slope might work better. But I can assure you that this little flaw does not interfere when swooshing that plane around Your skill with ldd is amazing BTW
Boso Posted September 1, 2011 Hello! A good idea making a stud inversion for the pontoons which is not easy with only few parts available. Cheers, ~ Christopher wonderful! :) can I ask you another image detailing the stud inversion, please? :D
harakiri Posted September 1, 2011 (edited) So TOA was right. Here is what it looks like if one wants to have the rear Propeller fully functional: Here are two pictures showing the stud inversion (need to learn LDD fast .... its better than disassembling and reassembling ) Hope that explains the trick Edited September 1, 2011 by harakiri
