Heroica RPG - Heroica Hall

After his training, Thalion walks back to the Hall and sees a larger group of heroes then when he left. He come closer, "Greetings everyone! To those who came after I left and who do not know me, my name is Thalion Dwinlas." He bowed, and pulled up chair near Sarge and Brickington.

[Capt.JohnPaul]

"Thailon? Is that you? That sorcerer's outfit looks good."

[Flare]

Benji strides into the hall with the firm pose that a dead velocinoid definitely doesn't have. He looks around, no one escaping his glance. He finally goes to sit down at an empty table.

[Scorpiox]

"I recently escorted a man into the sewers. Turns out there is a magic door there that could lead to the ruins of a lost civilization of Moon Elves."

"Nice..."

Haldor laughed.

"I won't pretend to know what Moon Elves are or why them being lost is a big thing, but that sounds interesting enough. Me, well I've just come back from hunting some dirty great lizards off some island; pretty simple, but a couple of the lizards were really, really big. Before that, I was part of the group that hunted down and put an end to the schemes of Lady Wren, don't know if you heard of that or not. Turns out there was a nasty old temple of the archdemon Zoot underneath this very hall. Part of me reckons that wasn't the last we'll see of him."

"Thailon? Is that you? That sorcerer's outfit looks good."

"Yes it is me. Thank you, I had Fabian re-tailor the Robe of the Archmagi a bit, so perhaps now it looks more rogue-like... What happened with your knights initiative?"

[Capt.JohnPaul]

"Oh yeah, I think I remember hearing something like that underneath the Hall. That's pretty disturbing, along with giant lizards." Alexandre turns to Thailon. "We're going good. There's 3 of us so far, and we should be going on the Hinckwell quest. We foolish knights made the mistake of trying to fight undead when we have no elemental weapons."

Maramaduc's supervisor sails away from the island Nova Tertia. He grins wolfishly and pats his satchel.

"Hahaha, I'm going to be so rich, Alan and Bors won't know what happened. Now my precious, where shall we start first?"

The man looks around and makes sure no one is looking. He opens his satchel, and takes out two Velocinoid eggs.

"Do not worry my precious creatures, it's all in good intentions."

After the training, Alexander returns calmly in the Hall and reaches the table when he sees Thalion and Sarge sitting "I'm back" says smiling while sitting on a chair and taking a drink.

"I won't pretend to know what Moon Elves are or why them being lost is a big thing, but that sounds interesting enough. Thalion turned to the Nord, "Actually, I was part of the expedition that went to that temple... All of us were stunned to find it so close to the city, but we managed to seal the entrance to it, so hopefully that's the last time we'll see or hear about it. Still, something tells me you may be right, and that it will not be the last we see of it or the demon we fought there..."

"Thats good to hear. Heh, for fighting the undead you need the help from us..." Thalion smiles and makes a small lightning bolt in the palm of his hand, that vanishes after a few seconds.

Sarge gets up and walks over to the table where Benji is sitting. He pulls out 180 gold and exchanges it for the shield.

Sir Brickington answered Haldor's question trying to not be nervous, "Yes I am. I have been on three quests so far, so that would indeed make me fairly new. I have heard many great and noble stories of you as a fierce warrior. It is a honor."

[Scorpiox]

"Oh yeah, I think I remember hearing something like that underneath the Hall. That's pretty disturbing, along with giant lizards." Alexandre turns to Thailon. "We're going good. There's 3 of us so far, and we should be going on the Hinckwell quest. We foolish knights made the mistake of trying to fight undead when we have no elemental weapons."

"So you got some kind of club running down here? Interesting, this your table?"

Haldor grins, keeping his boots firmly planted on it.

Thalion turned to the Nord, "Actually, I was part of the expedition that went to that temple... But yeah, some weird stuff was going on even then. It's a horrible place, I'd die happy never having to set eyes on that temple again."

Sarge gets up and walks over to the table where Benji is sitting. He pulls out 180 gold and exchanges it for the shield.

Benji silently takes the 180 and hands his shield over to Sarge. Still keeping an eye on him, Benji speaks up. "How has life been for you, Sarge? I see you have moved up from being a rogue. A black knight, I see. I also see that the daggers I gave to you are sharper than previously."

"Really, you've heard of me? That's very sweet of you to mention, darling. But aye, I've had my fair share of adventures since arriving in Uland. Stopped a mad mage, saved the world, helped a rebellion, made a girl pregnant - that wasn't on purpose - amongst other things. As you can probably tell by my accent, I'm not from around here. Where do you hail from, lad?"

I think you misunderstand though, I was in the party that hacked our way there through the hall floor on Grogmas night; to halt the witch Wren in her quest to become something ungodly. But yeah, some weird stuff was going on even then. It's a horrible place, I'd die happy never having to set eyes on that temple again."

I didn't know there was another attempt to go there... I agree with you on that, it is a horrible place and I was hoping no one would have to go down there again. "Because of the witch's actions with chaos, the barriers between the spirit world and that of men started to break down. Things called spires started popping up all over the place, and it was up to us to close as many as we could to stop any more beasts coming over from the other plane. In the end, we tracked her to the underground temple - had to force our way through the floor - and end her vile schemes. She was trying to drag a demon from beyond into the body of a mortal man in order to steal its power. Ultimately, we killed her and closed up the ruins for good. It was a dark time, the very darkest."

[Pyrovisionary]

Benji silently takes the 180 and hands his shield over to Sarge. Still keeping an eye on him, Benji speaks up. "How has life been for you, Sarge? I see you have moved up from being a rogue. A black knight, I see. I also see that the daggers I gave to you are sharper than previously."

"These? I'm grateful as hell for them mate. They're a bit sharper than last, yes. And I've also had some gems infused in" Sarge shows Benji the Amethyst and the Diamond "I've stalked a stalker, gathered ingrediants and stopped an assassination since I got them Come sit at my table. But gimme a minute. I need to get this shield upgraded."

*Sarge returns*

Sarge returns to the hall with a huge shield on his back. He sits on the same table as Benji, Haldor, Alexander, Alexander, Thalion and Brickington.

" I said I'd get a shield " Sarge notices Thalion's Sorceror outfit, and attempts to hide laughter " Thalion mate. I think that you being a Sorceror is all well and good. But do you really need to be in your Pyjamas right now? I just don't think that as an all powerful magician anyone will take you seriously dressed like that. It aint propper. "

But do you really need to be in your Pyjamas right now? I just don't think that as an all powerful magician anyone will take you seriously dressed like that. It aint propper. "

"Not all of us are capable of handling such shiny, heavy armors and concentrating on casting spells at the same time, yet... I understand how someone who handles all situations with headbutting, wouldn't understand that; but you should still try . But in all seriousness, I think that anyone who does not take us (mages) seriously because of our clothes is in for a nasty surprise... Just remember Vastin and his friends..." He says with a wicked smile.

Benji moves over to Sarge's table. He notices that the shield he just sold to the rogue had gotten much stronger looking. "What in.. Velocinoid's name did you do with the shield I sold you? You didn't happen to have any... Mythril, on you did you? The gleen of your shield reminda me of someone elses shield..."

"Impressive. Most impressive." Benji stated simply, impressed.

Heckz moves the chair from his table to the table were everyone was at, the chair making a screeching noice. "Name's Heckz Brutenhal, I do nothing than sit and talk to people all day."

Sir Brickington answered Sarge, "He's not really a kid. He's more than ten years older than me."

"I may or may not have lied about my age... "

Heckz says to the ones he didn't know yet (including Sarge) "Heckz Brutenhal, not so glad to be at your service."

Heckz moves the chair from his table to the table were everyone was at, the chair making a screeching noice. "Name's Heckz Brutenhal, I do nothing than sit and talk to people all day."
