DarkDruid Posted November 2, 2012 Update: The King's Regent: Imir Klaue, fourth in line to the throne. Don't tell anyone, but there's a secret opening hidden under the stone throne.
Bob De Quatre Posted November 5, 2012 Really nice as always I find it a little small for a throne room, but that's maybe because I watched the two seasons of Game of throne during the last week Don't tell anyone, but there's a secret opening hidden under the stone throne. DarkDruid Posted November 5, 2012 Really nice as always I find it a little small for a throne room, but that's maybe because I watched the two seasons of Game of throne during the last week The regent got inspired by Jabba's palace... It can't really be any bigger, since the entire structure is going to go on top of these latest rooms. If it were bigger it would stick out kind of weirdly... And the secret passage under the throne is actually inspired by throne room in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.

And the secret passage under the throne is actually inspired by throne room in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Of course I know it couldn't get bigger due to the structure size. I just hope Imir Klaue isn't claustrophobic For the secret passage I also thought of The legend of Zelda *insert the "secret passage found" sound*
DarkDruid Posted November 5, 2012 Imir doesn't have a lot of choice.

frumpy Posted November 19, 2012 My lord! This is amazing. Nice work. Where are you sourcing all the pieces? It must be costing a fortune.

DarkDruid Posted November 20, 2012 My lord! This is amazing. Nice work. Where are you sourcing all the pieces? It must be costing a fortune. Bricklink supplies me with the bricks I need. And yes, it's getting expensive. Brickcount approximates 9100 at the moment.
Mencot Posted November 23, 2012 Whoa awesome, don´t know why I have missed this thing. That thing is huge Brickcount approximates 9100 at the moment. Great job. And so detailed, interior and all. You have done a huge work on this thing. maybe a stupid question but are you gonna make terrain around it also?
Rogue Angel Posted November 23, 2012 Quite the build you've got going here! I love that there is a full interior, and it is gigantic! Great work!
Evil Porkchop Posted November 23, 2012 Just absolutely amazing. I love the Kingdoms theme and this blends in perfectly with the official sets.

Next up are the inner walls and towers, after that I'll start work on the surrounding (a bit), after that the outer walls.
DarkDruid Posted April 26, 2015 (edited) Okay, this project isn't dead. I was just really busy at the end of 2012/2013, when I moved to a new house and spent most of that year decorating. Last year I slowly started obtaining the 7800 bricks I need for the next part of my Bastion. So, anyway, I almost have all the parts and started building again. Here are my results so far. I apologise for the bad lighting in some images. by DarkDruid02, on Flickr Edited April 26, 2015 by DarkDruid
gedren_y Posted April 26, 2015 This is a wonderful project, but I think you are wasting some detail in your current section. From the images it appears that once the second layer was built, there is no way to access the first layer and not enough light to be able to view the interior detail. The first layer corner section in particular doesn't seem to be viewable.
DarkDruid Posted April 26, 2015 (edited) I think that's mostly due to the lighting, though the cornersection is indeed not really viewable/accessible... Here are some shots with normal daylight, instead of being shot at 1 AM. 2015-04-26 14.49.14 2015-04-26 14.55.27 2015-04-26 14.56.24 Edited August 20, 2015 by DarkDruid
gedren_y Posted April 26, 2015 It is all about lighting and viewing angle. If I were seeing this in person I would likely be more able to appreciate the details. The opening above the stairwell looks a little small for those wide brimmed helmets, lengthwise for figures going up and down the stairs.
DarkDruid Posted April 26, 2015 Aaand I just realized that I didn't order dark bley arches... 2015-04-26 23.13.02 2015-04-26 23.41.56 by DarkDruid02, on Flickr

Captain Dee Posted April 28, 2015 This is an amazing project with so many details it would take a very long time to see it all. I'll keep it short for once and just say that I'm anxious to see the final product. Very good job!
