From dune hopping to space gliding!

Hello everybody!

Today I'd like to share a new alternative creator set model with you.

Set 5763 "Dune Hopper" (click here for set reference) is a new Creator set of early 2011. It contains 137 pieces and only costs 9.99 EUR / 9.99 GBP / 12.99 USD.

I have the set for some time now, but it took a while until I could come up with a decent alternative model. I must admit that I do not really like the original set. It is basically just another vehicle set, one of too many. On the other side, the alternative presented here ist just yet another flying machine which is what I usually turn car sets into.

The Good, the Bad & the Ugly

The Good: New set, thus good availablity, cheap price.

The Bad: Yet another car creator set.

The Ugly: Many TECHNIC pieces. Almost no transparent pieces.

So here's what I came up with: A space glider that uses 117 of the 137 pieces available. That's more than the average piece count of the three original models.
