Curious as to what lightsaber are you talking about?  The lightsaber promo was only at launch in 2021 for the UCS ATAT that I am aware of. Only reason I ordered it when it came out as opposed to waiting.

here in Europe the same promo is active again - Luke's lightsaber when buying the AT-AT

Nothing too exciting, but it is fun to look at on my work desk!

Luke Skywalker's lightsaber (OG Anakins) from ANH

Display case with background was iDisplayit. Fairly cheap too, compared to big sets!

Ordered the UCS AT-AT on Sunday. Double VIP points, the lightsaber & 2 additional gift with purchase were enough to convince me :)

You won't be dissapointed!

With a lot of sets retiring soon and selling out already, I've been buying up extras of the sets I want multiples of.

-I ordered the 66708 Galactic Adventures pack from Walmart, which should be arriving tomorrow. I'll use the extra Trouble on Tatooine to improve the Tusken Raider tent and have an extra ballista and use the extra Duel on Mandalore to display on my dorm room desk. Not sure what I'll do with the extra Maruader Tank besides enjoying the extra Troopers though. I sorta thought about converting the extra one to a K79-S80 Imperial Troop Transport but we'll see.

-I bought three more 75280 501st Legion Clone Troopers from Walmart, and used my $35 of gift cards to buy another two from Target. (All of the sets were 20% off btw.) This brings my total of the set to fifteen, though I'll probably keep these other five sealed for now.

-Also at Target, I got a second 75342 Republic Fighter Tank and a fourth 75320 Snowtrooper Battle Pack. I decided that whenever I get the UCS AT-AT in the next year, I'll want to fill it up with snowtroopers so I'm going to start buying up more copies of the set to accomplish this. Those two sets aren't retiring soon but they were part of the promotion of "spending $50 to get a $10 gift card". (I planned on using this $10 gift card along with my other ones towards some of those 501st sets but accidentally scratched off the access code...)

-Lastly, this was a big surprise for me today. Our Midwestern store chain Meijer has most Lego sets marked down by 30% and they also have a bunch of stackable coupons which I ended up using towards ordering two more 75316 Mandalorian Starfighters for just $30 each, which is half off their retail price.

These are probably going to be some of my last Lego purchases for the year.

There is an EXCELLENT moc by @Wurger49 that combines two of them:

I finally built my copy of the marauder while on break from college, and I have to say, it's a WEIRD set. The figs are great and the vehicle itself is surprisingly fun, but it's assembly feels so odd with how the sponsons are attached and just the build in general. Edit: To clarify, I'm talking about the official set, not Wurger's mod. I don't have two marauders.

Finally added 75135 Obi-Wan's interceptor after searching for a good deal for a while. In truth I mostly bought it for my own MOC though.

I am rather peeved that I missed out on two Rebels Phantom IIs complete with Thrawn though - both for twenty euros. Pipped to the post despite messaging the sellers only ten minutes after they went up, in both cases...

I got the 75337 AT-TE for my birthday. My biggest lego set ever besides the 4504 Millennium Falcon, 6098 castle and 4561 high speed train. Certainly the highest piece count I've ever gotten in a set.

Picked up another 75337 AT-TE and 40577 Defense of Hoth (my fifth one) for double VIP weekend to help reach the threshold for both of the promo sets.

Walmart had the Trash Compactor set for $72 last week, almost $20 off, which is a much more reasonable price so I jumped on it. Always harder to find sales on store exclusives.

I think the set is a really good set stuck behind an absurd price tag.

Picked up another of the Mandalorian forge set at target on sale plus 12% Rakuten cash back. Ordered two additional AAT sets before they retire aLeo from Target.  Also grabbed two advents calendars while they were 30% off. I think I am done for several months bc I have spent way too much on Lego the last 3 months. Had a couple large Harry Potter purchases on VIP weekend as well.

Finally bought a copy of the Snowtrooper Battle Pack. Price reduction and sales (almost) bought the cost down to the old 2020 retail amount. I miss those old prices ...

I've taken advantage of just about every double VIP event this year so I really racked up a ton of points. I just redeemed $215 worth of vouchers to get 75323 The Justifier  and 75339 Death Star Trash Compacter. Both are very overpriced sets and I only ended up paying $45 total for both of them, plus I'm getting four free promotions along with them. (A Lego fleece blanket 5007622, the Fun and Funky VIP Pack 40512, Winter Holiday Train 30584 polybag and 40565 Santa's Workshop, which was my main reason for placing this order.)

I've also ceased to be a Lego purist and have been dabbling in adding some custom minifigs to my collection. I ordered The MinifigCo's Grand Admiral Thrawn since the Phantom 2 I got over the summer didn't come with one and I'm not paying $100 for the inaccurate official figure on its own.

And from Grandpa Clone Customs, I ordered:

  • Kamino Apartment Boba and Jango, based off The Skywalker Saga character models.
  • Battle of Naboo Padme, based off The Skywalker Saga character model.
  • A custom torso for AOTC Padme of her shirt before the midriff got torn off.

Aside from potentially ordering some more custom minifigures this month, this is probably it for my Lego spending this year! It's been a very expensive one, that's for sure.

A gift from my lovely (and incredibly tolerant) wife!

I can't wait to build this but I'm not sure if I'll have sufficient space to display it anywhere!

I did a Secret Santa exchange with other people in this Discord server I’m in and was very generously sent every single one of my gift ideas. All of them happened to be Lego Star Wars items.

-40557 Defense of Hoth (x3) [I now own 8 copies of this set.]

-40558 Clone Trooper Command Station (x3) [I now own 11 copies of this set.]

-75280 501st Legion Clone Troopers (x1) [I now own 16 copies of this set.]

I also happened to order more custom figures from Grandpa Clone Customs but I’ll wait to post about this until after I receive them.

Received two sets today for Christmas…

I was gifted the AT-TE as well as the Imperial Light Cruiser, although I am going to return the light cruiser in order to purchase the Inquisitor Transport Scythe and either a 501st specialist battle pack or the TIE Bomber when they are released in about a week.

Got these a while ago, but:

- The entire Summer wave, save the Justifier. I really tried to like that set but it just fails to appeal to me. Oversized and sacrificed a good interior just to cram that admittedly cool landing mechanism. Here’s hoping next year’s flagship summer set is much better, LAAT/i please!

- UCS Razor Crest.

Time to go back into hibernation until next May-August.

I don't usually buy Star Wars as I go big AFOL with all the usual old man (51yo) 'big stuff', HP(anything 'grown up'), all the larger Ninjago City items and dragons, modulars, whatever the latest 'Titanic' is, creator expert everything, Ideas, etc.  The kids get the Friends or MCU wish list items destined for the eventual bin of stor-age(my 13yo has ZERO interest in SW except the Mandalorian).

My 7yo daughter and I started playing Lego Skywalker Saga recently so I was feeling froggy and got some system scale sets and her and I LOVE them.  I'm not going down the very grey rabbit hole of UCS stuff, I just have the Y-Wing as my only SW set previously.

I know people complain about the new smaller TIE and XWing but I got those and think they're fantastic, and we're definitely getting swooshy with em.  Just got the latest Falcon, Shuttle, and tracked down the Speeder and Y-wing on evilbay, and just ordered the AT-AT.  Say what you will but I will say it's darn fun with the new batch and they're quite durable.   Looks like I have a New Hope with an interested young Jedi.  Sure beats having to stop to put the fancier Ninjago dragons back together every 3 minutes(NO THE BONE DRAGON'S WINGS DON'T FLAP!).  Really like the return to basics balance of this round.

So just this month:

-Falcon
-2x X-wings
-2x TIE
-Shuttle

From the 'bay
-Land Speeder
-Y-Wing

on the way:
-AT-AT
-Vader's TIE vs A-wing

Fun times, don't think I've even spent nearly as much as even one of the current UCS monster dust collectors.   And definitely more fun than installing the light sets in Modulars/Disney and HP castles.  I just have to remember to not kneel on the floor for so long!

Good times.  Apparently Benny is part of the Alliance now too.

That game coming out on GamePass got me buying just like it was supposed to do, but whateva, I still kept the boxes as per protocol... Lego turns cash into fun and is worth more anyway as long as you don't loose parts and put the stickers on straight.

That's great that you're getting to share this hobby with your daughter! She's taken her first steps into a larger (and more expensive ) world.

I also just got The Skywalker Saga game for Christmas. I'm a little bummed at how quick it is to play through the story mode for the films, but I am impressed at the sheer size of the maps.

I bought the Boba Fett Starship Microfighter, mainly for the fig, since my Slave 1 MOC was missing a pilot. A good little ship, with even a canopy piece, but it has already been dismantled, and its parts have served for greater goods (like a Quinjet MOC).

Just pre-ordered the new Executor. Will go nicely next to the UCS version. I'd be happy with more capital ships in that scale.

Got myself the 40531 Beru's Kitchen. The aftermarket price in Germany has been stabilized and I got it together with a good deal on the 40567 Forest Hideout.
