What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?

Recommended Posts

Just got the Naboo N1 and Vulture Droid, set; no. 7660, second hand . This had been built, then broken down, but came in excellent shape and in original box and I really like it cause I`ve finally got an Anakin child minifigure;... now looking forward to getting the Imperial TIE fighter from upcoming Solo movie!

Yikes. From this angle I don't actually like the new helmets. Its like someone sucker punched the helmet and now that middle face/nose plate is swollen.

I don't like the new ones neither. Hopefully my last two FO battle packs I purchased yesterday have the original helmets. It doesn't really make sense to change the FO helmets given that there should be days or at most weeks from TFA to TLJ. This is not exactly a TLG fault, but they could have ignored that variant as well... :hmpf_bad:

Picked up a V-wing, 7915 second hand with original figs. I know there's a more recent and detailed version but this is the one in imperial colours and goes great in my budding rise of the galactic empire era army, letting me mix imperial and some clone wars vehicles.

Good choice! I got a second one some time ago. It's an obscure ship that I like more than the Republic counterparts. It was reasonably cheap and it has two good minifigs. The astromech is useful in any imperial scene and the pilot, with the ARC-170 pilot helmet variant, is strange enough. The pilot head could also be used for a custom Sith Lord.

I still have to find time to figure out how to modify the ship to fit the whole astromech inside. I think that's the only drawback of the set.

picked up a few sets over the last few days.

Quad-jumper - wasn't sure about this one when it first came out, but Tesco had it for 33 pounds, so seemed like a great deal.  I think it looks like a great build and a great display model.

Ahch-To / FO specialist battle-pack / Tatooine battle-pack..   Spent my 10 pound Amazon thank-you offer on this (10 pounds off if you spend 50 pounds or more), already had a couple of the BPs but was more than happy to get another one each and very happy to pick up Ahch-to.

That was exactly my thinking too, both the helmet and the head can be used separately for other things but for now I'm keeping it all whole, and you never can have too many astromechs.

Im trying to find a way to get it to fit without changing the dimensions all too much, when I've got it figured out I'll post it but for now I'm head scratching, I don't have LDD either so I can't play around on a computer.

Time will tell!

picked up the FO Heavy Scout Walker... A set I have absolutely no interest in building, Tesco in the UK had it reduced to 25 pounds, half the price LEGO are trying to flog it for.  Purely bought it for the mini-figures and will simply just separate and re-use the parts for futures MOCs.

I've got a second FO star destroyer that was 50% off on sale. Couldn't resist.

This way I'll save one Snoke minifig from my children and I could make a bigger Resurgent-class star destroyer that could be played with a 2014 imperial star destroyer I made with spare parts. It will be approximately one third bigger, but at the same time still small enough for them to play with.

I hope there'll be either a project log or a finished post from this?

Pulled the trigger on the Death Star - the 2016 one :-)

Happy with it? I've been dragging my feet on it for the last 1.5 years. I love all of the interior and playability... just wish the outside skin was there like the DS2 set. Curious how much longer the 2016 DS will be available.

I live in Madrid, I took it from Alcampo, which is a large hypermarket chain in Spain. Never understood the prices... during Christmas they were fluctuating, specially those with bigger prices, which I guess didn't sell so well. The FO destroyer I believe started at €129 but later on went down to €109, but the resistance bomber kept at €120 all Christmas. During some time in January they had both at €80, then the destroyer moved to €99 but the resistance bomber is still at €80.

Nice! Good work on being patient!

Grabbed FO star destroyer to get the 60th anniversary freebie. Wasn't on-sale... and of course I got it before the February double VIP points started... :sceptic:

I haven't built it yet.  Need to make space. Just grabbed it on 20% off

Picked up Darth Vader Transformation the other day. Not only was the original the first LEGO set I remember getting, how could I say no to a cheap Vader?

That was my thought exactly when I saw it!

Tbh, that kinda guides most of my opinions on LEGO Star Wars, like:
Crappy halfway-built AT-ST: Cheap Phasma and BB-8, so it's good in my book.
