And, personally, I hope Lego would produced licensed CMF series that based off Cartoon Network characters, such as Ed, Edd & Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Powerpuff Girls (I know we thaT theme a few years ago…), Adventure Time, Dexter & Deedee, etc etc.

I second this idea! Cartoon Network and LEGO have had a history together and still (presumably) get along just well, and maybe a D2C Bagge Farmhouse set from Courage the Cowardly Dog!

It seems the long legs pieces is coming back in the Avatar theme! Let's hope they'll use it in the regular CMF line at some point!

If it’s true then I am right about long legs’ return! I think long legs may look great on Avatar figures.

Agred on regular ones. I hope seeing some long legs in different colros. I need one for my carnival!

Oh, boy :D I´d love to get long legs with blue pants for Goofy. I have big problems removing the print from these feets without damaging the part, so it would be wonderfull to get it with less printing on it!

I agreed with you on long legs for Goofy. Also, Mickey, Minnie, Doanld, and Daisy may need medium legs too (?). Not sure if we would see Disney Series 3 next year but I think Goofy with long legs may show up in regular sets.

Totally. I thought we need medium legs first time when we got lotr dwarfs.... with medium legs they are bigger than hobbits yet smaller than humen and elves :D Donald made the desire for them even worse. The new medium sized legs are the coolest piece of the last years in my opinion... and that says something after getting an axe guitar xD Sadly I doubt Lego will switch the legs now after having 2 cmfs and some sets with the long leg proportions.

I hope for orange medium legs... at least those should be available one day. Then we can switch it to white hip pieces and custom print the round white body as well as shoes for Daisy... only Problem is Scrooge with his red details on the upper side of the legs - haven't found a customiser able to print there - but I prefer loosing those Details in exchange for much better proportions for all the Ducks, if neccessary. This should work with black legs for Minnie, too. Mickey will again be difficult without Dual moulding. Didn't think about that very much. To be honest I mostly care about the Ducks. Those are much more popular here thanks to a brilliant translation that adds much detph to the original texts :)

Looks like we get some CMF23 news this afternoon :sweet:

Hope it is something useful (anniversary series) with a new animal or two instead of some to me most likely uninteresting licensed one

Just FYI - there is an existing forum for Seires 23. :)

Goat, please!

Now that we've seen Series 23, let's talk about......................................... Series 24 of course! :smug:

We got 2 regular series this year. Do you think 2023 will be a year full of licensed ones?

I think the January 23 one will be licensed for sure, but I hope May 23 will be CMF Series 24!

I don’t know…. I mean, I kinda have a feeling that 2023 gonna be full of licensed series instead of including one regular Series.

2023 is more uncertain for regular. Series, you see……………………

I'm really glad LEGO broke the mold of one regular series per year. While it was interesting to have a given series number coincide with the year, I have no personal interest in licensed series except for the sake of being a completionist. To that end, I seriously hope we don't lose out on a regular series next year. I honestly just prefer LEGO's original characters, even if they end up feeling referential or redundant.

Well - I couldn't be more disappointed.:sceptic:

There is really NO figure I want. Like Alegrispa already pointed out: THIS is the 90th anniversary series??? *huh*
They should call it the X-mas series, I even count 6 figures with connection to Christmas (turkey, elf, reindeer, nutcracker, snowman, sugar fairy). :hmpf: While there is nothing wrong with that, it's still not my cup of tea.

My guess would be another D+ Marvel series. First one did very well and there's going to have been another 5-6 shows out by then.

As a collector of all costumed minifigs since series 1, I am very happy with series 23 :grin_wub:

Who knew the Gorilla suit guy would spark such a craze 11 years ago?

I personally expect them to release at least one regular series per year. It has been the case ever since the theme was first released. We certainly now get much less regular figures than back in the day (12 for a year with a single regular series, where we were getting 48 at some point).

I certainly hope that's the case. Most licensed series are somewhat exclusionary just by the fact that the vast majority of us don't buy/collect every license. Almost everybody is interested in unlicensed CMFs. At least, that's what my very unscientific assumption is.

Yeah, I am a fan of regular series since I first saw TLM Seires when I was in college.

So I hope TLG would do at least one regular series per year. I feel like TLG runs out of ideas for licensed series. Like there may not be enough Harry Potter characters for Series 3. I know there are so many characters from Marvel and DC to support future series as well as Disney.

Anyways, I want to see more than one regular series. And MORE  small animals!! A

Just2good mentioned in a video that Harry Potter S2 sold poorly, so I doubt we'll ever get a third series

Although the specialist series may well bring non-LEGO fans into it, so from LEGO's perspective, they're probably more valuable as a gateway product.

I wonder if we will see a Looney Tunes Series 2, the first one seems to have been very popular and there are a number of major characters that are missing (Elmer Fudd, Yosemite Sam, Foghorn Leghorn, Pepe Le Pew and Granny at least) as well as new costumes for the top characters (e.g. Daffy as Duck Dodgers)

Disney Series 3 seems like a no-brainer to me given how popular the first 2 were (and how quickly they flew off the shelves) and how many major characters have yet to be turned into minifigs (Mike and Silly from Monsters Inc, Webby from Duck Tales, some of the characters from Wreck-It Ralph, the chef from Ratatouille, the main characters from Up, Pinocchio, Cpt Hook, Tarzan, characters from Inside Out and more)

Honestly I also don’t get this thing when someone perceives something unpopular so it can’t be revisited. Any theme could be redone with more effort and more shelf appeal a few years later.

I agree with this! If there’s one theme that deserves to be redone, I would pick Scooby-Doo, and also the Hanna-Barbera all-stars.
