Minifig Lecturer Posted April 4, 2011 B-OV-18C Hi all, Progress is slow so I am pleased to be able to say I have completed another block for my new Town. The block goes with the Town Street block I recently posted although this previous block may be altered somewhat. The insides are not very detailed but I will be going back to redo these at another time! Hope you like.
LEGO Guy Bri Posted April 4, 2011 Great city block 'Calvin' Great detail. A suggestion to give it that professional touch: Smooth tiles over the road and raised/ smooth tile side walk using SNOT. Great work so far, keep it up

Vincent Kessels Posted April 4, 2011 That is a very nice city block Calvin. There are a lot of nice little details. What I especially like is how you prevented boring square boxes as buildings.
lightningtiger Posted April 4, 2011 Very nice 'Calvin', great designs....I really like the smaller details like the sale sign and all the guttering with it's pipes. Interesting fire escape....simple yet effective ! Excelllent work and keep on going 'Calvin' !
Zeon Posted April 4, 2011 With everybody going modular nowdays, it's a really refreshing and pleasant MOC! :) Nice exterior details with a hint of classic flavored windows. Great!
Fuzzylegobricks Posted April 4, 2011 Very cool! I love the details like the window sticker that says "Sale". Maybe tile the sidewalks like in the Modulars?
XimenaPaulina Posted April 5, 2011 A very peaceful neighborhood - that's the first thing I thought about this town block. I really like the simplistic, conservative yet effective look of the buildings. Very nice work Calvin!
Minifig Lecturer Posted April 5, 2011 Hi all, Thanks for all the comments. I do plan on paving both the road and footpaths, roads will be dark grey with white lines and footpaths will be light grey. I agree with Leg Godt Gud's suggestion that raising the path would look best. This is actually a really great idea the more I think of it and so I hope now to do this in future. I just need to save and find some place to buy plates at a good price as I will need to pave around 20 of these 48x48 blocks! Cheers, David
