I thought it was the best of the arc so far. I like the fact that Bane was put in charge at the end. And, Embo is possibly the most badass bounty hunter in the galaxy, up there with Boba Fett *oh2*

I thought the way Obi Wan shot the moving targets even though they did a last moment change of direction was pretty dangerous thing to do in front of Dooku. It's not something that you could do due to shooting skill, it's definitely a force thing. And the way Dooku said "Obi Wan..." (or similar) makes me think he's suspicious.

What choice did he have?

Shoot it while it was still moving in a straight line?

Now I know what you mean. I thought you meant not hit the targets.

You're right, that would have been a better idea.

What I think will happen is the plot fails (obviously) and Moralo will definitatly die, Bane will most likely kill him. Bane and Embo won't die, they'll A) escape or B) get captured. It'd suck if Embo died, but if Bane died it would be a nice plot twist. I don't hate Bane, but since Filoni killed Fives it's time for the bad guys to lose someone.

I was hoping that Moralo would be left in charge and when the plan fails in the end, he won't be able to pay Cad Bane and Cad Bane takes him out for wasting his time and being unable to pay for his services. I'm curious to see how this plays out. With Cad Bane in charge, it's really his own fault if they don't succeed.

The way I see it, Obi-Wan didn't really have a choice but to hit the targets. He had to make sure that the plan would continue. I'm pretty sure that Dooku is suspicious with the story of Rako Hardeen taking out Obi-Wan. I don't know how suspicious he could be though since he has had his way with Obi-Wan in their encounters with one another. On Geonosis, Obi-Wan it was pretty obvious that Dooku was superior to him.

I agree with you, but in the end Embo actually choked the guy who invented the Holo disguise thing for stealing a bounty. Embo one, others nil...

This was a fairly good episode, better compared to others, but I think that it's nice to get the villan's POV in this. Bane is a good charcter, this arc has really given his character more depth. What I think will happen is the plot fails (obviously) and Moralo will definitatly die, Bane will most likely kill him. Bane and Embo won't die, they'll A) escape or B) get captured. Fives didn't die. Echo did.

Fives took part in and survived the Umbara campaign. Echo was killed during the Citadell mission.

Perhaps, perhaps not. Eval could do something that causes the mission to fail.

But you are right; Eval will die in the next episode.

Yeah, the episode was rather good. I liked the fact that Eval designed the box as simulator for difficult situation and therefore being training instead of a senceless way of making the applicants kill each other to see who's the best. They also kind of explained why Anakin wasn't told about Obi-Wan being alive, I must say, I'm not convinced, but it's as good an explanation as I'm ever going to hear, and the Jedi not trusting Anakin's patience makes sence. And with Dooku's possible suspicion of Obi-Wan they have the prospect of an interesting plot in the next episode, together with the real assassination. I also like the fact that they depicted Can Bane a bit more positive (while still staying in character). Overall, a good episode, can hardly wait for the finale.

We've posted our review here, and I can't say we're altogether pleased about the episode. I thought this was a pretty lame episode in a lot of ways, but I won't get into that again. It's in the review!

I like how they're developing the distrust of Anakin by the Jedi. This distrust is actually leading Anakin towards the dark side.

Interesting point. Although, I had always thought he was already too far gone by the end of Ep2 after the Tusken slaughter & deliberate disobedience of the Jedi code with the wedding etc.

Unfortunately we already know that the assassination attempt will be unsuccessful. Even more disappointing because it's the outcome I would like... the Jedi are not doing themselves any favours trying to keep him alive!

New preview for "Crisis on Naboo".

Looks good!

Also, I found some info on the first episode of the four part arc that is the finale:

"The first episode of a four-part season finale. Count Dooku seeks revenge for his betrayal at the hands of Asajj Ventress and the Nightsisters."

The episode is called "Massacre", and here is a link to the page on Wookieepedia:

Thanks for that preview. Hopefully the finale to this arc isn't disappointing. The build-up has been fairly good so far so hopefully this arc end with a bang. I don't see how it couldn't with all the bounty hunters. I'll keep my fingers crossed until I'm watching this on Friday.

That was rather.. strange... seeing Darth Maul go insane was, as well.

But regardless, I look forward to those episodes more than the rest of 'em.

If you were cut in half, fell into a pit, and were left to die, and survived; you would be too.

Just watched "Crisis on Naboo". One of the best episodes of the series, I thought! Seeing as not many other people have commented yet, I won't say too much till later.

I liked it as well. Palpatine's last sentence was one of his finest.

The links don't work.

Yeah. I had to take my Youtube vid down because people didn't like the intro.

So, here it is again:

As for this episode, it was a huge let-down. No plot, no character development, weak action and so on. And the most criminal of all, the arc ended where it effectively started, with Eval & Bane in prison...

This arc went nowhere in the end and was pointless.

Thanks.

The arc aims on showing how Palpatine seperates Anakin from the Jedi. What he has achieved is to make Anakin wonder to what degree the Jedi Council and Obi Wan trust him and can be trusted. He has further achieved to gim a feeling of inferiority since even Dooku praises Obi Wan, not Anakin. Palpatine, on the other hand, appears to be the only one who is loyal to Anakin, no matter what, and who appreciates his abilities. Anakin, on the other hand, returns this loyality: "As long as I live, no harm will ever come to you, your excellency!", which sounds pretty much like a promise or an oath.

So, I found it quite interesting to see Palpatine making his moves, and to see how he has begun to seperate Anakin from his true friends.

And Palpatines sarcasm, his verbal coup de main at the very end of the episode, "one shatters to think where the galaxy would be without the Jedi", is priceless: he lays his plans for the Jedi Order fully open, but, of course, noone can understand that he doesn't express his fears, but his hopes and his ultimate future aim. The answer to the question where the galaxy would be without the Jedi is clear: in his hands!

So I think this is pretty good stuff!

When did I ever say it didn't make sense? I only found it to be strange.

And we're not speaking of a regular human here, we're speaking of a Force-sensitive Zabrak. Zabraks have an ability to resist pain.

And one who endured much suffering, and was incredibly loyal to Sidious.
