Few months ago, I tried building the model with plate instead of bricks.

But it is not viable. The shapes of the IH are too round for that.

As for the detail, I do not know what I can add. :/

On the real model, most of the surfaces are sleek.

Oh yeah, you did say on SeTechnic that you decided on a brickbuilt method after the plates failed to capture the shape accurately. Perhaps it's just a matter of accepting that it's more accurate that way? I suppose the prospect of making a smaller model with the same level of detail, as you said, would be the best solution then.

I know. But in this case I would say get the proportions right and worry about the minute details later.

By the way, how big is this compared to your Venator?

The Providence isn't much smaller than the Venator (around 96% of the length) so they should be about the same size at this scale.

A Venator is 1137m long.

The IH is 1088m long.

The Lego Venator is 113cm long, and the Lego IH about 110cm. So yes, IH is to scale with Venator.

Otherwise, I'm gonna try to make a smaller IH.

One thing is sure : it will be very thin.

Some of you have been asking for a video in another thread.

So, I eventually kept Curtis Black's design.

I think the model looks pretty good.

The size is perfect for such a ship (similar to 10019), and the details are very satisfying.

The proportions are wrong (vertical ; horizontaly they are fine), but they definitely give some consistency to the model, which is very important to me.

If the model had right proportions, it would have been too thin, slender, and so ridiculous.
