I made theme like this because I wanted the extensions to become smaller, next thing to do will be the bowsprit, which will be made out of two pieces, and then I will force myself to do the interior, turn the decks and let them curve up towards the bow and stern. In the corner you can see how the figurehead/bow part of your ship can be improved. Well, I think it's interesting how you've made the headrails with dragon wings, but it does not really feel appropriate here. While it looks good from the top or bottom, they do not look like headrails should from any other angle; and they don't curve properly either. Bart Posted April 6, 2011 (edited) I started planking the hull, which is just a fancy way of saying filling up the gaps between my frames, and I put the first four canons in place. I think I will only plank the larboard side and leave the starboard side open, with only the frames and the "those beams I represent with the black tiles (not yet finished) which usually are installed right after the frames are put up and before the planks are put on to keep the frames in place." It does look quite dutch, mainly brown and with some colour at the forecastle and around the mizzen mast. Bart Posted April 10, 2011 (edited) I made some progress on the stern, but I'm a bit stuck now. it looks like its missing something but I don't know what.. the two mini-figs are carrying the coat of arms of my home town, the two fish represent two pikes (that's a fish species) behind the lower windows are the officers quarters and the upper the admiral/captain and so. I also made a start with the galleries but the look too high ??
