Classic Sportsbike

Recommended Posts

I don't generally like bikes, except those that are either really eccentric/unique or those that just look plain cool, like this Moto Guzzi (pronounced like this):

So with bikes like that in mind I created this 8051 alternate:

Thanks everyone :classic:

I like it a lot! The frame same as in 8051, right?

It's quite different. For instance the angle of the front fork is due to the angled liftarm and a bit of Pythagoras 4-5-6. It's also a two, rather than three cylinder. I think the biggest similarities are the front and rear 'forks' (is that the right word?) that hold the wheels on.

Now digitised! Download the LDD file here:

This can be built with ~ 282 pieces from 8051. There are quite a few odds and ends that were too difficult (I found the chains a nightmare) or not available (the correct flex hose) so I have either left them out or made workarounds.

Black fantasy - because the panels do not exist in silver (or even grey) and the wheels not in black (amongst others).
