Star Wars Miniland to come in LEGOLand California

Recommended Posts

Good news for you, Kim!

The same changes are planned for Legoland Germany as well! :sweet:

The spare spaces in Günzburg are going to be filled with the same SW Episodes like you mentioned.

So it's "just" 2 years waiting for our next event in Germany...

what event in 2 years????

by the way fbtb.net has nice pictures posted of at-at, some miniland figs and other stuff

what event in 2 years????

The current plan of upcoming events is as follows:

Every second year we visit the motherland of Lego, Billund.

Every place in between will be Günzburg/Germany and Windsor/U.K. in rotation.

This year we visit Windsor, next year we will be back to Billund and after that we return to Günzburg again in 2013. :classic:

Well since it seems we're getting the same thing in Billund, I'll make sure to go there this year

That's great news!

I must go to Günzburg (or wherever the LEGOland is now) or California sometime after this has been completely established!

I'll never ever go to Billund again, though. If I'm not on vacation in Denmark anyway, that is. Lego's just too expensive there!

Cheers!

Carlsbad is about 40minutes south of where I live and I've still never been. This news may be enough to get me off my rear and go to the park and see this.

Ooh ooh I want THAT Millennium Falcon!

Well then start planning.

There's going to be one in California, one in Germany and one in Denmark.

So now the question is; can you bribe a worker at one of those three places to get you the blueprints?

Or are you planning on trying to carry one out of a park?

Just play it cool.

Don't walk to close to the guards, but not too far away. Walk casual.

I can't help getting mental pictures.

Security Guard: "Is that a millennium falcon in your pants or are you just a really happy LEGO nerd?"

Wow this sounds great! To bad I live on the other side of the country from California. Other wise I'd love to go!

And take a BIG bag

Plan A: Stroller

Guard: What's in here?

Me: It's my baby. Don't open the blanket, she's asleep.

Guard: Oh, okay.

Plan B: Carry it out during LEGO Star Wars Weekend

Guard: What's this?

Me: It's my prize for winning the ultra-secret Miniland raffle. Don't they tell you security dudes anything? It was held right after the daily raffle and right before the Trivia Contest.

Guard: Uh, oh! That raffle! Silly me, I forgot all about it!

Plan C: (worst-case scenario) Obi-Wan

Guard: How long have you had this Millennium Falcon?

Me: Uh, three or four seasons. It's for sale if you want it.

Guard: Let me see your identification.

Me: You don't need to see my identification.

Guard: I don't need to see your identification.

Me: This is not the Millennium Falcon you're looking for.

Guard: This is not the Millennium Falcon I'm looking for.

Me: I can go about my business.

Guard: You can go about your business. Move along, move along.

Or you could start a riot and sneak out during the madness. Or somehow clone the Falcon.

Very exciting news! Someone take lots of pics and post them here if you go!

I'd like to see how the designers can incorporate CW faces into Miniland

Don't think they will. Miniland figures don't have eyes, thank goodness. The standard head is a tan 2x2.
