In fact I hadn't built something in Lego for years, what brought me to make a ship is my passion for the navies of the modern era (15th to early 19th century), I am also a student in history and I'd like to write a master's thesis related to the navies of the 18th century. Plus I have always liked modelism and I wanted to do something creative with my hands.

I created this frigate because to me the most beautiful ships ever are 74 guns vessels and late frigates.

Do you think you'll create any more naval MOCs in the future? Or has the experience of creating this frigate deterred you from doing anymore?

Apart from improving my frigate, I currently plan to make a large scale rear castle, you can see the early project here.

It's a hybrid between a vessel and a frigate.

But I'm limited with the number of bricks I have.

Well Mr Gui45, if you're feeling brave enough you can create a Work In Progress thread for your upcoming MOC. Now that everyone understands where you're building from so to speak, I don't think their comments will be as harsh as they were for this MOC.

Hello Mr Gui45,

I think most builders are specialised in one type of Mocs.

I'm reasonably good at building ships, but i stink in buildings.

Right now i'm working on a complete imperial harbour, ships, pirates, treausure island etc.

The ships where done in hours, but the buildings are still scratch.

Looking at your frigate you've got the shape allright, but i think you should look at the details on the real ships. I've overlooked hundreds of pictures, that really helps.

I usually make my sails out of old sheet covers, i dye them in water with tea and put fine striping on with a pencil.

I'll be posting the pictures of my new moc ships soon, maybe there helpfull.

Good luck and happy building!

Greetings mate's!
