LEGO Star Wars 2010 Voting Topic

With KimT's permission, I've made a poll asking everyone about their most favorite LEGO Star Wars set of 2010, and their most favorite new good/evil minifig of 2010. So, let's get the votes rolling!

(I've excluded 'gear' items as most are just keychains)

Set - 8088 ARC-170 Starfighter

Hero Minifig - Aayla Secura

Villain Minifig - Boba Fett

IMO, 10212 is hands-down the best set of 2010. No explanation required.

For Heroes, I pick 2-1B, who I think was overshadowed by the fact that he was a minor character in an ugly set. He is, however, an important figure at Hoth who we have not yet gotten.

For Villians, I really didn't like he way some of the reissues like Boba Fett were CW-ified even though they aren't CW characters, and even though the White Boba Fett holds great value for me, (I have two ) he has no real use other than snowmen and monochrome Slave 1s. So I went with Bossk, because any new alien that is an OT minifig never released before is a good minifig. Maybe with the exception of the Ewoks.

I voted for the Senate Commando and Bossk as the best figs. BTW, Pi, you mixed up Cade Bane with Cad Banes Speeder

Huh, that's odd. When I first posted the poll, most choices with an apostrophe deleted themselves. I'll go ahead and re-add them, thanks!

Favorite set: 10201 UCS Imperial Shuttle - I fell in love with the design in mere seconds after seeing the first pictures of it!

Favorite 'good' minifig: Senate Commando Captain Jayfon - I've always wanted a Senate Commando, and having a captain is just icing on the cake!

Favorite 'evil' minifig: General Grievous - It was a hard decision between this and Boba Fett, but I went with Grievous because I just love all of the intricately printed limbs he has.

I agree 10212 is the best of 2010. But honestly, it has always been unfair to compare UCS against regular system sets. Of course the UCS sets will easily win product quality-wise. So I gave my vote not to the best, but to the one which was my most favorite set for the year.

Wampa Cave - because we needed it badly.

Carbonite Han - again we needed it (now it's decent)

General Grievous - another one that needed a serious facelift and has become close to perfect.

Hmm its kinda tough for me... (I will only vote for sets/minifigs I own)

Favourite Set: Slave 1 - Just the perfect set imo, awesome minifigs and an incredible ship. The detail is amazing, colours spot on and the features are really cool.

Favourite Good Minifig: Luke Skywalker (Hoth) - I just love the new hat they made earlier in the year, the jacket torso has incredible detail and the whole minifig is spot on. I dont mind the new face either.

Favourite Bad Minifig: Boba Fett - Just the pinicle of minifig design. I love the little torn cape and his new helmet is phenomenal! The detail on the whole minifig is just perfect, all the cuts and scrapes are badass.

This is a much better Topic than some of the recent ones floating around that are pretty useless imo. Thanks a lot Pi and Kim for letting this happen
