928 - Space Cruiser And Moonbase - Space

a very nice build! it had some errors which have been corrected below:
- wrong baseplate pattern was used for landing pad
- 1 airtank was wrongly colored (yellow)
- 1 grey airtank was missing at the car
- transparent bricks wrongly had underside studs
- baseplates were held together by 1x8 plates instead of 2x2 plates
- number of minifigs was wrong (2 instead of 4)
- all minifig tools were missing (2 walkie talkies, 1 spanner/screwdriver, 1 torch)

(FYI: also the peeron.com inventory of this set is wrong: the 2 2x2 plates which hold together the baseplates are missing there. however, they can clearly be seen in the instructions.)

Here is the corrected version:

But, how do you open it in LDCAD or MLCAD?

You can open it in any LDraw editor/viewer. But given its number of parts it will be extremely slow in MLCad as it uses software rendering.

I guess I need a little more direction on how that is done. Thanks

I figured this out myself. You have to save it on your PC first without the ".txt" on the end of the file name.

Download the file, fire up LDCad, open the file by clicking “Open a file from disk” in the “Getting started” menu that should appear, or using the “Open…” entry in the “File” menu.

Sorry for the late answer... to download file, right click on the link ("download mpd"), then "save link as" (or similar, it depends on your browser). Then follow the other suggestions to open the file. LDCad is highly recommended!
